Our room view from the balcony - Auckland Sky Tower. Stayed at ibis Budget Auckland on New Yearβs Eve. It was the cheapest option in the area, with a great CBD location near the Sky Tower and an easy walk back after the NYE fireworks display. Check-in and check-out were easy. Parking is available for $30 per night. The room is small but clean; (12 sqm) there was a slight wet-carpet smell that disappeared once the air conditioning was on. Note that this hotel does not participate in the ALL Accor loyalty program.

Unbeatable price for the location. Rooms are a little bit dated but functional and come with microwave, fridge and cooking plates and sink. TV had only 2 channels. Free WiFi was good. You can purchase breakfast vouchers (NZD 20) for breakfast at a nice little coffee shop next to the hotel. Rooms are quiet but at night you can hear some sounds from the outside like trash collection. Best to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Saw lots of negative reviews and was prepared for the worst. But you know? The hotel is fine! Reception is fine. I arrived before 2pm and got my room after a short wait. Yes, rooms are a bit dated, but my room was sparkling clean, no nasty smells or anything. The room has an air conditioner to adjust the temperature for your liking. Which I didn't end up using and just slept with the window open. Comfy bed too. There is noise coming from the street so better have ear plugs. There's a kettle and a microwave, so you can bring food from Woolworth around the corner and heat it up. Nice for a budget traveler. Not a luxury hotel but it's not positioned as one. Good budget hotel in the middle of the city with walking distance from everything.

The hotel is conveniently located near Queen Street. The room is simple and not very spacious, but adequate for a short stay. Iβd like to mention the staffs. Most could be a bit more engaging, as there was little eye contact or friendliness. However, the Indian staff member was quite pleasant and attentive. Overall, itβs a basic stay with room for improvement in service.

Sufficient for staying a night or two. Central tobeverything in yhe cbd. Service is okay, desk manned continuously although they don't say much when you are coming and going. Studio room is small bit sufficient. I don't like that you have to step up to go into the small bathroom, will be a trip hazard during the night. Good price and good value though.

This is a Budget Hotel, so if you pay for budget you get budget. I have paid a lot more for a lot less value. Yes the rooms are small and the cleaning average, but the location and staff are excellent. Good parking next door ($30 per day, this is good for Auckland CBD). I had three teenage boys in tow and had asked for two rooms beside each other and two single beds in each. We got what asked for and did the trick for our two-night stay. Not what I usually stay in but for me and boys was bang on and cost was very reasonable. Being CBD it is a bit noisy but have $360 up the road and still had the same level of noise so it is what it is. Overall a good experience and would use again if I needed budget accommodation in Auckland CBD.

The location is very convenient. The room size is also acceptable. The reception is good, but due to having only one staff at the front desk, there's often a long queue. The only issue is that the noise problem is quite serious. The noise continues until around two or three in the morning, making it impossible for those who are light sleepers to fall asleep.

Great location when staying overnight for cruise. Centrally located near to public transport. Main street is a short stroll down the road. Cruise terminal less than 1km for comfortable walking. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room is in ok condition and its value for money. Free wifi and coffee and tea.

Flew from Melbourne, Australia and stayed here for 2 nights as I went to a gig at the Auckland Town Hallβ¦It was cute and compact, Bed was comfy, Central location and right next to my favourite bar whenever I visit Auckland (Ding Dong Lounge). I would definitely stay again, The only downside was there were no bedside tables and Housekeeping didnβt replace the dirty cups.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of my expectations. The online photos were misleading as the room I received was nothing like what was advertised. The carpet was dirty, the headboard was filthy, and there was even mold in the bathroom. The only positive aspect was the friendly staff and great location. However, I am now hesitant to ever stay at this hotel chain again after this disappointing experience.
