Trendy place, great vibe. Private room had plenty of space. Great location downtown Auckland, easy walk to the port. There is a parking beside the hotel, you just need to download the app and it's pretty simple

Great hostel - bright and clean with good facilities especially for the really affordable price. I liked the extra privacy of the pods. I stayed in a 10-pod room and slept really well. Having read comments about it being quite hot in the pods, I was a little worried, but for me it was fine - there was a big air con unit in the room plus a small fan in the pod itself which kept it well ventilated. I would definitely recommend staying here!

I recently visited LyLo in Auckland, and although I accidentally booked it thinking it was a hotel rather than a hostel, I was genuinely impressed by how fantastic the place is. After taking a walk around with the manager and viewing the pods, I realised it wasnβt the right fit for my family β mainly because my son didnβt want to stay somewhere without a pool. I want to give a big thank you to Frankie, the manager, who made my experience with LyLo absolutely fantastic and completely trouble-free. She was polite, kind, and incredibly generous. Even though I had booked through Booking.com, Frankie offered me a refund straight away with no hesitation. That level of customer service is rare and deeply appreciated. The hostel itself is very clean, modern, fairly new, and perfectly located in the city centre. The vibe is great, and the pods looked comfortable and well-designed. If it had just been me and my wife, we definitely would have stayed. Even though we chose another place this time, I honestly canβt recommend LyLo enough. Amazing staff, spotless facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere. Frankie truly made all the difference β thank you again!

Fantastic stay. Miss Lucyβs had a great menus & reasonably priced for the traveler. The staff are very knowledgeable & Simon from the travel agency was helping with the hostel amenities. It hour he was employed by the hostel. Great business partners make a great location. My wife & I are mature & seasoned travels. 5 stars just doesnβt cut it. Love to give them a higher rating. Outstanding stay.

This is without a doubt the worst accommodation I've ever stayed in, including the time I slept on the floor underneath the seats at Hong Kong airport. The pods are sweltering hot (the loud exhaust fans do nothing) and the bright room lights cannot be turned off; the door slams every time someone comes in or out. I don't think it's possible for me to sleep here. No toiletries are provided which I was not aware of. The kitchen is overcrowded. For $70/night it's not even that cheap. This is the first of 6 nights I booked, I feel like just packing up and going home. Very upset Edit: the staff are very nice, no complaints there but unfortunately confirmed that the lights are seemingly unable to be turned off. There are some good things about the place like the community feeling in the common areas, very nice and well behaved guests. The shower facilities are also good. The hot conditions in the room are probably not very easy to solve. But providing a dark room is a low bar for a hotel.

walking distance to most places within the city, and a great social atmosphere with attached bar and lounge areas. the pods are actually quite spacious and private, and bathrooms were fairly clean aswell. wish the private rooms included a window though.

The LyLo in Auckland is the best hostel in the world. Whether you are traveling for business or for vacation, this is an excellent choice and will be my first choice when I return to NZ. Rooms: I had the ensuite option with the shower inside. The fan works well so that if you shower, the room does not get humid at all. Each bed has a plug next to it, the lighting is good, and is kept very clean. The rooms are incredibly quiet, and quiet time is enforced after hours. 10/10. Kitchen: Three enormous industrial size fridges so that everyone can keep food and prepare their own meals. Seating can be limited, but no matter how many seats one adds, they will always be filled. I was very satisfied with the supplies that were communally available. Perfect hostel accommodations. Bar/Restaurant: on the ground floor! Very convenient. And yet, it's quiet on the floor above. Very nice to have. Laundry: 4 washers + 5 dryers, plenty of availability. Check in/out: Very easy to check in and out of this property. And staff was always available at the desk to help with any issues. Location: Within 2 miles of all of the tourist attractions. Perfect. Staff: Friendly, professional, courteous, prompt. Whether by email or in person, I appreciate their availability and helpfulness. Overall: You will not regret booking here; the cost/convenience ratio is exceptional. Among the best hostels in the world.

The hostel really exceeded my expectations. I stayed in a female 4 pod room, and despite being a shared room, it was really quiet and private. The lockers in the room which you can lock/unlock with your room card was also a plus. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot and strong. I only stayed overnight so didn't get to use the other shared spaces but the whole check in/check out process was quick and easy.

I was really surprised how great the hostel was for the price. You have all the privacy with the pod beds but with the social life a regular hostel. The bathrooms/ showers were always clean. My only issue was with the kitchen. Unfortunately it was not well equipped. Also, for the size of the hostel, there was definitely not enough seating place to eat. Same for the kitchen space to cook. But over, all I think it is the best place, price and confort wise to stay in Auckland.

Best hostel Iβve been to so far yet. Great location. Great bar in the hostel. The key card for room entry and locker entry just makes itβs so much easier. My entire suitcase and backpack fit inside the locker. The pods were awesome lots of space. I felt really safe staying here. Lovely staff and other travelers would definitely recommend.
