   Was here as a wedding guest because of overflow at the residence. Loved the location, an easy walk to shops & beach. Lovely compact little cabins for 1-2 people & larger units for families. Was well equipped with whatever I needed including microwave, wi fi, fridge, beach equipment, bicycles, etc. A very kind & efficient cleaning lady helped me out of a jam one day as I left my phone in the room that had the lock key code

   We booked all seven units for our Christmas get-together, perfect place for our family to stay. over the road to the beach and next door to a supermarket. what more could you want. we'll be back!

   The location is amazing. The Tui cabin is cozy. The deck was a lovely place to sit but was the only table and chairs. Which was fine if the weather was good. There is a commercial garage behind the fence but the noise was minimal. Things that stopped us from giving it a 5 star rating: We were give one set of bathroom linen and it was meant for a week. More kitchen linen would have been helpful - especially a a second dish cloth. The drawers and cupboards had a musty smell when opened. The bedroom storage is limited. Would have been good to be able to put the suitcase under the bed. The dishes didn’t seem to be completely microwave safe as they became very hot in less than two minutes. We stayed for 8 days and received no housekeeping - but were offered housekeeping for an extra fee. We did manage to get more towels without charge.

   These cabins are super cosy and the location could not be more perfect!! Abundance of restaurants at your doorstep, plenty of grocery stores & of course walking distance to the beach! They also have a fun shed providing free bikes!! Super cute place- highly recommend!

   My son and I over the years have returned to Orewa Kiwi Cabins time and time again. The 2 bed cabin is clean and ideal for our stay. We walk or cycle around Orewa as so central, 5 mins to the beach and to the heart of restaurants and shops. The owners have always looked after us, so come and stay, as it’s a terrific break away.

   We (4 females) stayed in the kiwi cabin. The double bed was super comfy but the singles not so. We couldn't work the TV and there were no instructions in the welcome folder so we needed to make a phone call. All sorted. The aerial was switched off and was away from the TV so we didn't see it. Easy fix. Great location, close to shops, restaurants and the beach. Cute little cabin which was perfect for our overnight stay and annual catch up.

   My husband, sister and I stayed in the Kingfisher cabin a 2bedroom cabin for 8 nights. The cabin was fully appointed with cooking facilities even had salt & pepper grinders, glad-wrap, foil and paper towels. Huge Smart TV screen, warm heating, lots of light to let in and close off. Fabulous shower dome and instant hot water, up-to-date laundry washing machine & drier. Towels were Ok. Beds were amazingly comfortable with extra minke if required includes single bed as well. Rainer supportive of upgrading a single room to double room accommodation. Also, open to discounts for other family members to accommodate 2 further single cabins. Cabins clean and in good condition, to my personal standard. I am an Accor Hotels member and this standard is very close to Accors’. Annie Rogers

   We stayed in The Pukeko House. It was really well appointed, super comfortable beds and bedding all provided. Very warm with very efficient heat pump, very modern washer and clothes dryer. Huge Smart TV with Netflix etc. Plenty of space for kids to play, would be good if back deck had a gate to make it secure. A knife sharpener would be useful in kitchen. Towels were okay, it was good to have two toilets. Very clean and tidy when we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Great location and very handy to everything with Supermarket next door.    Quality cabins, kept very clean, close by to all facilities, including the beach, and very helpful hosts if needed. My family of 4 stayed in the Fantail cabin for 4 weeks and enjoyed every moment (even the storm didn't put us off). We rate this location very highly and would be happy to recommend it to anyone. We hope to be able to stay again, even though we live in the Northern Hemisphere. Thanks Rainer and Deborha
