   I had a one night stay at the Summer Inn Motel and booked it mainly for price and location. On arrival I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who showed me my room and was told I was upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom apartment, which was a nice surprise. The accommodation is very very dated but it was clean and had everything I needed for my stay. The bed was quite soft as were the pillows which wasn't great, but as it was only for 1 night I didn't mind too much. It's a great location, 5 minute walk to the shops, bars and restaurants and there is free off-street parking. If you're looking for no frills then this is a good place to stay. It just needs a lot of updating. The shower head is also fixed so if you're around 6 foot tall you'll need to duck.

   A dated motel with need of some outside maintenance. Rooms small, clean and tidy The bathroom was so small you could not swing a cat and a shower curtain, which is very old fashioned. Good location to the beach and town center. Staff had limited understanding of English.

   Rooms very nice and service was excellent. Our family of 5 were situated above reception and had a balcony - view of beach across the road. There were 3 rooms, separate bathroom and kitchen. Very comfortable place to stay. Walking distance to town, approx. 10min walk.

   We have just spent 5 nights at summer Inn Motel and we found it an ideal location for Orewa and the surrounding areas. The host Summer was very nice and helpful and the rooms very clean and well appointed and the town bars and restaurants 15 minutes walk for us oldies and we will certainly stay there again.

   This motel isrun down, old, cold and basic in the extreme. It has whatever is needed but is not worth the cost per night. Pay a little extra and go elsewhere.
