Came here with my family and booked a unit for 3 nights. The owner is very nice and has great service and the location is convenient with a very good price point. At first I was worried about some of the previous reviews ago from a while back but I talked to the owner when checking in and he said those reviews from long ago are from the previous owner so that was reassuring to me. Roses are very pretty too also overall I had a lovely stay and will definitely bring me and my family back here again

Stayed here for the night getting to the ferry the next morning. The room was very well presented. Beds comfy, kitchen well supplied and very friendly host. It might look a little tired from the outside, but it was all good from our perspective.

I travel a lot for work and usually stay in motels. Wellington has always been one of the hardest places for me to find a good, reasonably priced motel. I often end up paying more than I do in other cities, yet the quality is not as good. When I booked this motel, I honestly wasn’t sure. The price was very good, but there were some negative reviews, so I had my doubts. But I decided to take the risk as it was only for two nights — and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. The room was much better than I expected, and definitely better than other motels I’ve stayed at in Wellington, including ones that were far more expensive. For the price I paid, the room was very spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. What really made the experience even better was the owner and his wife — both incredibly friendly, respectful, and welcoming. It truly makes a difference when the people running the place genuinely care. I highly recommend supporting them. The location is also excellent. I will definitely stay here again.

Motel 22 is a clean and tidy place to stay in Wellington. The rooms are well-maintained, and I have never experienced such great service or quality accommodations at any other motel in the area. The owner, Wells, is supportive and a genuinely nice person. He also offers us a great price for these wonderful rooms. I highly recommend staying at Motel 22 in Wellington.

We accidentally pulled into this motel 200 meters before the one we had booked online. The owner pretended to find our booking, took our money & led us to a filthy room. There were some dodgy looking permanent residents watching everything we did & a couple of kids attatched to them that wanted to know all about what we had in our van and enclosed trailer. Upon returning to the van l discovered the motel owner peering through the back window to see what we were carrying. After 15 minutes on site we realized our mistake & requested a refund. We were offered less than half our money back and thought that was a great deal compared to the alternative of actually staying there, sleeping in a grotty room & having our stuff messed around with, so took it & left.

Never ever stay at this dump. It is a temporary shelter for homeless not that i have anything against the homeless. Travelled all day on motorbikes only to be told they did not have our booking despite me having all the paperwork and emails. Apparently it had changed owners and booking not carried over. Spoke to owner by phone in China as manager could not speak english. He laughed when i mentioned they should help us find alternative accommodation and said Not his responsibility. I feel we dodged a bullet by not stayin there and please never consider this place.

Mucked up our booking - was short a bed and bath.As you have to pay on check in the refund offered was laughable. Managed to get a decent refund though. Beds were hard. Mould on curtains. Couch was absolutely uncomfortable that went down in the middle and a steel pole in your back (pull out sofa bed). WiFi just kept cutting out. A light didn't work and neither did all of the electric blankets. Bathroom door never closed properly. Doesn't look anything like the pictures. Only decent things were the shower and having a little freezer! Would NOT recommend.

The management was extremely accommodating to us arriving a little late. They sent us a text message about 30 minutes before the office closed to make sure we were able to find the motel. It has a slightly sketchy exterior, but I was very happy with the interior.

Facilities are crap. 5 bux to use the washing machine. Run by people who can't speak english, and have the cheek to look at us like we are the idiots. Only thing on offer is a small carton of milk...no help what so ever.
