Wow. What a hidden gem of a place. Pure Veg food and such a good rate and great quantity. A must try for Veg lovers.
Awesome shisha bar out west! Great vibes, smooth shisha, and top-notch service. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. Definitely a go-to spot — will be back for sure.
Chef Shyam did an excellent job with my son’s cake smash cake. The cake was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. He paid great attention to detail and delivered exactly what was requested. The overall experience was smooth and professional, and the cake added a special touch to our celebration. Highly recommend the chef.
Ordered their Vegan fries Always moderately good. But got this yesterday. Strange looking potato fry with multiple hair like structure attached on its tip.
I won’t recommend this place to Maharani thali and South Indian thali and Mirchi bonda as well, very worst food in the Thali. I have ordered single mirchi bonda, I have informed them to not microwave when I placed the ordered, immediately these guys microwaved in front of me. When food arrived I have checked the inside basin chilli was rotten completely. I hope these mirchi bonda is not freshly prepared. And whatever food comes in the thali those are completely bloody old freezer and microwaved food. Not fresh food. We wasted our many when went yesterday for dinner this is how we left food on the plate.
Fresh and Delicious Sweets (मिठाई) and mouth-watering snacks along with north Indian delicacies. We had ordered Aloo Paratha and Chhole Bhature. Paratha's batter was evenly spreaded over and cooked in tandoor, which brings out the smoky flavour out of it. Chhole Bhature was delightful too, not oily and too smudgy alike other offers. For मिठाई (Sweets) - just rest assured that you get fresh, made with real ingredients and nicely packed/wrapped way. I often purchased Kaju Katli, Coconut Burfi and Mix Mithai box. I recommend it for best Indian Sweets and Economical rates for Lunch/Dinner.
Yummy rasmalai as always. Took some overseas guests and they loved rasmalai along with the gulab jamun.
Away served fresh food.. we have channa bhatura, dosa but wasnt that crispy , filing was good. My fav one is their palak paneer from Shivani papatoetoe
My hubby Amit and I are regulars at #Shivanirestuarant Papatoetoe, each weekend. The service is great, staff are friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean , and the great variety of Indian vegetarian street food as well as mains - all reasonably priced and promise a taste which will have you coming back for more. Our favourites are the Thalis (platters) and the Indian sweets and their Elaichi chai (cardamom tea). This is a hidden gem in Papatoetoe , with ample parking. Ghevar- an Indian sweet delicacy , which we missed for 20 years as not available normally in NZ, is easily available at Shivani Indian Restaurant. Are you also missing some of your sweet /savoury food memories from India…then why not come to Shivani restaurant, Papatoetoe!!
Everyone who works there acts like they would rather be somewhere else instead. Overpriced, oily food, tasted bland no salt, rude staff, sweets are below average, like watered down, and VERY loud music. Pls give the cleaner a pay rise, she did an outstanding job despite the low quality food. Will continue to go to Dominion Rd Shivani
