I now live in Australia but many moons ago I loved coming to Satay Village, the food was amazing, very generous portions and very good value! I was known as Two mains guy, by the owner as I used to order and eat two mains when I dined there! Very sad to hear you are closing.

The awards on the walls for best cheap eats are a thing of the past. Unfortunately a prime example of shrinkflation. Ordered chicken laksa, roti curry and spring rolls. $45.50 Service was excellent.

Char kway teow mai ham. But still tastes like it would in KL. For the price and basic, modest interiors, I'd expect a little more... Perhaps pickle chili or sambal on the side?

Good for takeaways. Cosy and small place. Customers keep the atmosphere warm!

Average malaysian eatery. The vegetarian laksa was 'unusual' with suspended particulate matter that we couldn't quite figure out what it was. Curdled milk powder? Dessicated coconut? However, the mee goreng was pretty good. So I give it 3/5 stars overall.

Started coming here as a student, over 15 years ago! The food is amazing and authentic and the staff are so lovely and friendly. Always go here for the best Malaysian in Wellington

My partner and I enjoyed their vegan Mee Goreng and Char Kuay Teow late one evening! They were very quick and delivered excellently on my βhotβ request! The Mee Goreng had a light soy-centric sauce. It was deliciously savoury. The Char Kuay Teow was enjoyable, too. The couple beside us had been coming here forβ¦ 27 years!? If I remember the conversation correctly! Mee Goreng: (Vegan) Broccoli, Cauliflower, tofu puffs, sprouts, cabbage, topped with shredded carrot.
