It's lovely to see that Schengen Visa sales go well and tourists are enthusiastic, but my experience as an Italian Citizen in need of consular assistance is totally different. Irresponsiveness, lack of communication and important documents still haven't been registered after more than three weeks after delivery, making it impossible for me to be joined by my legal spouse in my own birth country. Your incompetence is ruining lives and families
As at 28 August I am still waiting on a refund from 1 Mar 2023. They have repeatedly ignored my emails and never returned my calls. I have asked for the complaint process and they will not provide that to me either. They said chasing it won't make it any faster, then how am I supposed to get my money back if I'm repeatedly ignored??
Documents sent to do AIRE in Wellington back in November 2022, which is something as an Italian Citizen we must do to get our Passport and for whatever reason they don't seem to be willing to complete this registration ever. Multiple calls, multiple emails and no action is made. What is the point of the embassy if you are unable to provide the services to its community and citizens, just public money wasted!

Applied for my Schengen visa and glad I ended up getting to do it with the Embassy of Italy. The team is the highest standards of professionalism, patience and friendliness. I made contact with the embassy near the end of November with a few queries, sent my application on 8/12, was contacted and booked my biometric appointment on 19/12, got my visa via courier on 29/12. Everything took less than a month with no hiccups. Thank you team!!
Super friendly people! We applied Schengen Visa on 11th October 2022, and they're so helpful and guide us throughout the process, and on 17th we received our visa! Everything was a wonderful experience, very prompt, respectful and efficient team! Thank you Embassy of Italy! :)
