   I almost had forgotten Indian public service after living in NZ for long time. We applied visitor visa for my partner and they gave decision one day before our flight. If they send passport through post it will take one day( we miss flight). And our town is 16 hours drive from Wellington. There is no way we can pick up in person. So what is the point of issuing visa if we can’t use. I been through such type of service in India thousands of times which reminds me a reason why I want to live in NZ despite leaving my all family and friends back home.

   I have been visiting the Indian High Commission for various purposes over the years, and I must be honest, previous experiences were often disappointing and irritating. However, my couple of recent visits for my OCI application were superb and completely different. The customer service I received was truly exceptional. I would like to specifically commend Mohit, who was extremely helpful—not just to me, but to other visitors as well. He embodies the kind of service that is uplifting India’s image and phase, something that was previously missing. I have often heard native Kiwis expressing extreme disappointment regarding communication issues, website problems, and long processes. My recent experience completely contradicts these past complaints. The way my case was handled, even though my query didn't resolve on the first or second visit, demonstrated patience, professionalism, and genuine care. Mohit and the team meticulously explained the missing pieces of information (specifically the voter removal requirement), ensuring I understood exactly what was needed. This kind of dedicated service gives a remarkably positive impression about our country. Thank you for setting such a high standard for customer engagement.

Ms. Priya Rana was always polite, efficient, and prompt in her communication. Her dedication and commitment to helping applicants truly reflect the excellent service standards of the High Commission. I am deeply thankful for her guidance and the smooth experience.    Worst experience going with high communication of India. I send my passport for cancellation process two month ago. I haven't heard back any things also 5 times I send to mail. But no response. Seriously this system is out side of India is horrible. Even in India have better systems to process. Please take this seriously considering it's not good to represent our Indian work culture like this. Thanks Om prakash saudiyal

   So far good experience with local team. I tried calling them for passport service and no one picked up but I did a call back option and guess what, I got a call back. Yes, I was happy that I got a call back, also the representative told me that there are not many who can call back since they don't have customer support in fact all of them are just there doing almost everything including processing the application. I know it always takes time so I had little expectation when I called but I got a good overall response. I hope things get better and better from here. Keep up the good work Team India. Thanks.

   I sent my passport over a month ago to surrender Indian citizenship and haven’t heard anything back. I called you over 20 times and emailed more than 2 times but still haven’t heard anything. Please get back to me or process my application. You guys are taking unnecessarily long time to process the basic application. All you have to do is just stamp it “ CANCEL “ and send it back to me. I paid for everything and even gave you the return ticket for courier bag, why is it taking so long? It should be done in a week. PLEASE PROCESS FASTER AND STOP TAKING UNNECESSARY TIME AND IMPROVE YOUR COMMUNICATION. Google: Please introduce "0" star rating as well because some organization/company doesn't deserve even 1 star. Those people who managed to talk to our world's best high commission employees on call should feel very lucky and must buy lotto ticket. They will surely win something.!! what is the time frame for cancellation of the passport. Can someone advise how to contact them ??

   Cooperative and professional staff. Automatically attend and reply to the queries and applications. No need to call again and again and no need to chase on mail. Services are rendered within time frame automatically. Kudos the team, well done. We should encourage them and appreciate the good work, I noticed it with my own experience.

   The new High Commission of India building is incredible. It’s worth just walking passed to see how impressive it is. They even run free Yoga classes there - I hope they will have Indian language classes one day too. The customer service inside is good, the staff are polite, and visas are issued very quickly from my experiences. If you struggle to get answers on phone or email, there’s a complaint email address you can try on their website. But first make sure you read the website thoroughly as there’s a lot of information there. Jai Hind.
