The staff are so helpful here! Barry helped us with advice about the different mulch options we were considering and went above and beyond, even opening some bags and making good suggestions for buying in bulk. We spoke to a lovely gentlemen in the outdoor plants area too!
Terrible customer service, from all four staff members I dealt with. The staff were incredibly rude and condescending when I was asking for assistance with selecting a suitable fruit tree for our yard size. We were polite and gentle and as soon as we asked for assistance we were met with hostility. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS PLACE, go to Bunnings or Mitre 10 where the staff are actually kind and helpful. Disgusting behaviour.
As you walk through the front entrance, you get a super friendly welcome from the staff, they are very helpful with any questions you may have, they have good range of products not including Home and Garden products, they have a great selection of toys for babies and kids up to age about ten years.

Wide range of plants and gardening products sold here. Goods are well organised and beautiful! Staff know their products well and can direct you to find them immediately. They are really friendly and welcoming. Service is excellent, couldn’t ask for more! Glad that I don’t have to travel to Palmerston to get The Herb Farm products! Highly recommend this place for your gardening needs. Who knows? You may even be able to find a treasure or two at the Clearance corner.
Best place to get your plants, trees and gardening tools, supplies and treatments. Nice selection of Bonsai also and pots, wire etc
Lovely venue to visit. Start with a coffee and something delicious in their excellent cafe, and then be inspired as you wander through their plants and pots, and tempted by their wide-ranging selection of gifts and homewares . Nice free and easy parking too.
We visited California home and garden mid week, absolutely loved the variety of gifts on offer there and after a good look around and a purchase of a lovely planter we went into the cafe and had lunch which was very nice, I would have liked to try one of the cakes as they looked delicious, but was too full after my lunch. The cafe is roomy plenty of space between tables and a very relaxed community atmosphere. The staff were very friendly organized and quick. I would definitely visit this place again.
In search of coffee one post Christmas morning, we happened across California Home & Garden in Fairfield and was super impressed by how extensive the garden Centre with all aspects of garden accessories, plants, homewares, art, clothing accessories and much more. It really was a full retail experience visiting as well as having breakfast and staff was super friendly!
