Stephen and Mimi are amazing at Killer Hair. I’ve had my hair cut for years with Stephen and it’s always flawless but did colour for the first time with Mimi this week and the end result was beyond what I could have hoped for. They are the best!!!
Just had balayage done for the first time by Mimi at Killer Hair. My longtime colourist went back to China so I needed a new colourist. I did my research and read all the reviews and opted for Killer Hair (I liked the name and the reviews). It’s nerve wracking choosing a new colourist and hair stylist as we all know. I’m so pleased I made this choice and am rapt with the result. Killer Hair isn’t cheap and is on the expensive side but if you want the best you will pay a bit extra. I have red hair ( suits my personality) and like balayage in the Summer months to lighten things up. Mimi is a person who knows her craft ( and I have a strong mind as well) but I opted to trust her and wasn’t disappointed. Killer Hair has a great vibe and the clientele reflected the salon’s approach. This is a salon who is happy doing the different but not afraid to voice an opinion on what will work. Very happy!
My second visit to Killer Hair has cemented me as a loyal client to Steven and Mimi, and their lovely team who really listened and understood the brief. I loved what they did for my hair, colour and cut are perfect. This time, they went above and beyond for me when I realised I had parked in a tow away area...in the middle of the colour... Long story, but I never expected the lengths they went to accommodate me, and I'll never forget it. Highly recommended for experienced and highly skilled cut and colour, service and overall experience. World class salon experience. Great products used too. Booked in for a same day colour consult and came away with hair I can’t stop looking at! Consult and colour by Mimi and wash and style by Liz - I couldn’t be happier with the results. First time visiting and everyone I spoke to was lovely and I felt relaxed and comfortable throughout! Such a great experience!
Steve is a magician. I walked into Killer Hair with a haircut from another salon that had me feeling insecure and not my best. After he was done I walked out feeling so confident and happy. He really took the time and care to fix my hair. Can’t recommend Killer Hair enough.
Great Salon - highly recommended. Both colour by Mimi and cut by Steven were very good. I was in Auckland for work just long enough to need to get a cut & colour. I usually struggle to find hairdressers I like, but very happy with the result. I have fine hair, cut was a blunt longer bob and colour a full head balayage.
Highly recommend! I’ve been seeing Megan now for a year, and each time I see her she is absolutely amazing and understands the assignment. She has transformed my hair in the best way possible. My hair is naturally dark, thick and curly (typical islander hair) and together we’ve come up with a great colouring method to keep it looking and feeling healthy. Megan’s colour is always on point which compliments my darker skin tone. I am always getting compliments for how amazing the colour is but also how healthy it looks and feels.
