   Growing up in the 1960s, students were practiced on by inexperienced dental nurses at a central Auckland dental clinic - known as 'The Murder House.' Spending more time there than school, I was enrolled with our family dentist to find I had a mouthful of holes - and that WASN'T from eating crap food. I was recommended the BHB Dental Clinic and Peter Raymond by my family. What a gentleman. My first appointment was a check up with x-rays and I was really nervous following other terrible experiences at dental clinics around Auckland. Peter was calm, explained what needed attention with a realistic timeline, (as it had been awhile since my last dreadful experience) and gave me a quote. Today's first big appointment was a breeze. I was made to feel comfortable, nothing was painful and the whole procedure was enjoyable - my fear of dentists of the past vanished. I would HIGHLY recommend Peter and the Blockhouse Bay Dental Clinic especially from this former very anxious patient. Dental appointments don't need to be dreaded and now I am under another great healthcare team, I feel well cared for and I know in time, my teeth will be back to their excellent condition. Thanks Peter and Team. Gratefully appreciate your kindness and patience. Everyone at the clinic was friendly, efficient and it has a calm, positive ambience.

   I had a double extraction performed by Dr Onnara Lee. I expected it to be troublesome as one tooth was badly broken. I didn't need to worry. The extractions were very quick and painless. Everyone reception , nurse and Dr. were friendly, efficient and first class. By far the best dentist and dental surgery I've ever visited.

   I’ve been seeing Kimberley for my hygiene appointments, and her service is exceptional every time. She’s incredibly skilled, gentle, and thorough, and she always takes the time to explain what she’s doing and give helpful advice I can actually use. I’ve learned so much from her over my visits. The entire team, from the friendly front desk staff to the hygienists and dentists deliver consistently high quality care. Honest, transparent, and professional.    Just returned from my regular teeth check up and hygienist appointment, and I must say that I’m still stunned by the professionalism and high expertise of the dentists working there. Teeth can be a tricky thing, but I know that mine are in good hands (or shall I say tools? Haha) at Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre. All my questions were answered thoroughly and advice has been given on all matters needed. I‘ve been going there for a few years now and in my honest opinion their service is top-notch: the waiting room is extremely tidy, with filtered water and tissues, the staff are all very kind, helpful, patient and respectful. You can even do your dental care shop there, with staff answering any questions about products you might have. What I also appreciate is that phone calls are being answered within seconds - a rarity in today‘s busy world! Good value for money. Highly recommend!

   Usually I help my mum with her day to day matters but recently she visited Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre on her own, and the team made what could have been a stressful experience incredibly smooth. The receptionists were welcoming and very helpful, especially with my mum’s registration. She’s not very confident with technology and struggled with the tablet, but the receptionist patiently guided her through it, making her feel at ease. The dentist she saw was equally impressive. They listened carefully to her concerns and explained all the treatment options clearly, giving her the information she needed to make an informed decision. It’s clear the staff here genuinely care about their patients. Overall, a big thank you to the team for their professionalism and kindness. My mum left feeling reassured and well taken care of!

   I have been going to Blockhouse Bay Dental Centre for a number of years now, and have always had a positive and warm experience. Peter and the team have always taken excellent care during check ups, and everyone (including reception!) is very professional and friendly. I have also had my teeth cleaned by both Corin and Rebecca- they are very thorough, and gentle. Would highly recommend!
