Came out my way to visit this store.. sed close at 9. Got. Just to get a closed locked up door . Time of arrival 8:45
Disappointed with the recent changes at this store. The new whisky display cabinet behind the payment counter looks fancy, but it’s incredibly unwelcoming. Customers can’t browse or see the bottles properly without asking staff, who seem annoyed when you do. It feels more like a museum exhibit than a place to actually shop. Whisky shopping should be about exploration, not feeling like you’re bothering someone just to see what’s available. it also causes unnecessary delays and awkwardness. While one person is trying to check out, another is standing behind them trying to look at bottles — it’s crowded and uncomfortable for everyone. It’s frustrating for customers who just want to pay and leave, and equally frustrating for those interested in the whisky. Poor layout and bad customer experience all around though the staff was trying to help. Definitely a step in the wrong direction.
Not a great first impression to be told, after finishing work and trying to purchase a singular bottle of wine, that at the age of 30 I need to show ID, that photographic evidence of a passport won't suffice, and to be accused of trying to lose someone their job. Abysmal service.
Always very clean. I have been shopping there and the staff are on point. Excellent service and very friendly and so helpful with questions. I recommend viewers to this shop to buy your favorites as they have trolley too. Please don't abuse this shop.
