   Very disappointing experience at Nando’s Lower Hutt today. There was a decent-sized queue, and while we were waiting my 8-year-old daughter said she was tired, so I told her to sit down. She found an empty booth and waited quietly. A staff member then approached her and told her she had to leave the booth. At the same time, other customers who had been assigned that seat sat down around her, which made her feel threatened and extremely uncomfortable. I don’t think it’s acceptable to approach a child like that and allow other people to sit around her, it was very disconcerting as a parent. This situation was handled very poorly and showed a lack of care and common sense. A bit of understanding would have gone a long way. We won’t be returning. Saw another review with similar feedback, no signage to suggest you have to pay first before sitting???

   My family and I visited Nandos Queensgate for my birthday. We were greeted by this young man, Naz, who seated us, took our orders and later served us. We found him to be polite, helpful and professional during our time there. We will definitely be back.

   I had ordered Nando’s choice at Queensgate mall. I will not recommend it. Burger was dry with no sauces and coleslaw had no mayo just dry cabbage. Bun soggy as it was garlic bun. Very bland. Beg pattie was cold as well.

   I ordered Nando's at 5:10pm for a 5:30pm pick up from Queensgate that closes at 6pm. (The Nando's website chose the pickup time after I asked for ASAP pick up, I didn't personally select the time) I paid with my debit card and made my way to the mall. 15 minutes later I received a phone call "As a courtesy" saying the store was shut and there were no staff. Okay, no big deal. I ask for a refund, but, here's my problem, I'm told I have to contact the Nando's help page for HR who are based in Australia and submit a request for my refund. The person I spoke to could not tell me how long this refund would take. I now have no dinner and no extra money to buy a second dinner while I wait for however long it will take to receive a refund. I asked if I could come in to the store to be refunded as I was now a minutes drive away, she said no. I said that that's not fair in terms of consumer gaurentees act guidelines, and that it was an inconvenience to me. She called me "love" condescendingly and told me it was "an inconvenience to (her) too".

   Don't get me wrong, I love Nandos, but the Lower Hutt store is probably the worst in the country. Very often it is fully or partially closed (despite the advertised opening hours), they are usually "sold out" of a bunch of menu items, and if you're lucky enough to find them open and actually order something it'll probably be a 40min wait even though there are only 2 other customers. You're better off making the trip into the Courtenay Place store.

   If you're looking for some delicious, mouth-watering chicken, Nando's is definitely the place to go! Despite being short-staffed during my recent visit, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. They worked tirelessly to ensure that all customers were attended to in a timely manner, and their positive attitude truly brightened up my day. The food was simply amazing, with a variety of wonderful flavors that had me coming back for more. Although they were short-staffed, I was impressed with how well they managed to maintain a high level of service and quality. All in all, I had a fantastic experience at Nando's and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and wonderful service.

   A big fan of Nandos. Great chicken, crunchy fries, good service and atmosphere. If you love your chicken, you should have nandos. The peri-peri sauce makes it special. Definitely visit again.
