Lovely range of craft supplies, really helpful and knowledgeable staff. They do intresting short courses at resonable prices. Cool items that are hard to get anywhere else in the city. This is my first stop for leather dye, quality wool, patches, and jewelery hardware. There's so much more to this wee shop than what I have discovered.
Great products, but the blonde lady was very unhappy about every question I had. Even just politely asking her to show me a product behind the counter seemed to have offended her somehow. I ended up feeling so bad that I impulsively bought some overpriced scissors for $30 and left in a hurry. I said thank you and have a great day. She did not look at me or respond or smile. I think I will not come here again.

The short, big lady was quite rude and abrupt. I asked her about looms, what they’re used for. Instead of saying “scarves, blankets” whatever they’re used for, she shrugged and said “for fabric” and laughed/smirked. Love knitting, crochet and crafts but would NEVER buy from here. The prices are also crazy.
MM is such a wonderful shop with lovely helpful staff. Their selection of tools and notions is very thoughtfully curated and I often find really useful tools that aren’t stocked in other places. It’s a store that’s run by genuine craftspeople who know what people need to do crafts rather than just standard ranges of marginally useful tat that you find in some other shops. I find it’s always worth a visit when I’m in Wellington.

Every time I've visited this lovely shop I've had a great experience with no exceptions. The staff are very sweet and helpful, and though their goods are definitely more specialised (this is not a big box craft store nor does it need to be), you'll still likely find something you're looking for whether it's cute patches or some specific beads or crafting tools. Big ♡ for their ongoing dedication to their student discount as well, it's saved me in many a project already.
I got recommended by a friend to check this place out. The person who served me was so friendly and excited to show me an led lamp because they used it themselves. The service was awesome! Such an awesome experience - the lamp is exactly what I wanted. They guarantee the quality of their products too. If I could buy all my supplies there - I would!
