Nice place. Great atmosphere even if was a little cold for us. The food really tasty. Completely recommend try the puddings.

This shop is an absolute gem! The food is fantastic, made with high-quality ingredients and served in generous portions. I cannot recommend the mixed Iskender enoughβ€”it’s packed with flavour and has everything you could want in a meal. The atmosphere is great, relaxed and welcoming, and the service is excellent! If I had to mention one small downside, it’s that I wish they had a bigger sauce selection. But honestly, that’s easy to overlook given how good everything else is. I’ll definitely be back because this place is a winner!

One of the very best Kebabarias I've been to in Wellington. I ordered the mixed iskender, my friend ordered the lamb kebab, and they did not disappoint. You get great value for money with large servings, fresh food that packs in flavour, and there's no skimping on the meat or sides. Everything was seasoned perfectly and cohesive with each other. The area is tidy and inviting, and there is such friendly service. I don’t usually post reviews, but this experience blew me away.

Today, my mother and I walked into Toma as we were starving and wanted something quick to eat. So, we ordered a $10 lamb pizza and a cheese w/ tomato pizza, hoping for a satisfying and great value meal. What we got was a total rip-off/scam. The 'meat' pizza was ridiculously tiny, barely enough to feed one person, and the cheese pizza was no better. For $10 each, we expected something at least reasonably sized, not these miniature excuses for pizzas. The toppings were sparse, the pizza was bone cold after a few minutes, the flavor was bland, the cheese was hard and cold (it was so bad that the cheese was coming apart from the bread), tomato that was on top was just a few bits of pesky blobs from the salad section, it felt like zero effort was put into making them (they took bloody 20 minutes to create this "masterpiece"), and after we finished eating this terrible meal me and my mother felt a bit of heartburn which we had never experienced from food before. We left feeling sick, scammed, and still hungry (I have the confirmation receipt). We will never be coming back and don't recommend it to anyone, please save your money and go somewhere that values its customers like Morteza in Newtown.

I travel the country for work and have been to many kebab places in my time and was blown away by how freaking good their iskender was. Fresh, home made sauces, delicious meat. 5/5 all round will definitely come again next time I’m through

Went in here for lunch a few weeks ago and the food was superb! Meat seasoned well, if I was staying in Wellington longer I would have come back multiple times.

I was really disappointed after this place was recommended highly to me. Had a mixed meat and salad takeout, which to be fair was tasty, very tasty. My compliant is that it was stone cold and very little meat, outweighed by masses of salad. If only the food had been warm and in proportion this would have been a 5 star review.

I bought a chicken iskender to have for lunch the next say, so obviously couldn't taste the freshness of it the day itself but it was really nice. It actually comes with piece of bread but I ate it in the car, great price and portions. Owners are also very polite. Would definitely come by to eat if I am ever around the area.
