   I trusted Partridge Jewellers with my Omega watch and the entire valuation process was full of avoidable mistakes and inconsistencies. My name was incorrectly recorded on the documentation, the valuation process was not properly explained, and no written terms or handling procedures were provided when I handed in the watch. The initial valuation report came back incomplete, missing key details about the diamonds, and only after I questioned it was a second version issued. For a luxury watch of this value, I expected a much higher standard of care, accuracy, and professionalism. Instead, the experience left me feeling stressed, uncertain, and disappointed. I am escalating this matter formally and would caution others to be very careful when trusting high-value items to this store.

   I came in to see a Longines watch that was shown as in stock online last week. The sales lady told me they didn’t have it in store but could have it delivered so I could view it. She promised to let me know once it was confirmed. She mentioned the watch would likely arrive early this week, but it’s now Friday and I still haven’t received any call whatsoever from her or the store. Honestly, I’d rate the experience zero stars if I could. Anyway, I ended up buying my watch this morning from David Keefe in LynnMall, their service was so much better. What is the point of having the best location if your service is that poor?

   My husband had called the store the day before and spoke with Richard about the Rolex’s that we were interested in. He invited us to come to the store at our convenience on Saturday, which we did. On arrival, we were greeted by the friendly door staff and we asked to see Richard, who immediately connected the phone call from the previous day, to us. He had even remembered my husband’s name, and the details of the call. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable in the store. The attention to detail was exceptional - we enjoyed refreshments while Richard showed us a selection of watches. He was intuitive, knowledgeable, and genuinely took pride in providing us with top class customer service, and satisfaction. Whether it be luck, or just good timing (pun intended), we were offered a watch that exceeded the brief. Needless to say, we are VERY happy customers, and truly appreciate Richard’s assistance today.

   Walked into this store in Auckland genuinely interested in exploring options, but was completely ignored. I spent time looking around the cabinets and waited for assistance, expecting at least a greeting or some form of acknowledgment. Instead, one staff member was glued to his laptop, the other busy on his phone — neither showed the slightest interest in helping. Absolutely no customer service or courtesy. If you’re serious about buying a Rolex, save yourself the frustration and head over to The Hour Glass across the road instead. They offered a far more professional and welcoming experience. Partridges have a lot to answer for, your staff working last Saturday shouldn’t be working at all. You lost a sale that day.

The sales advisor went above and beyond, ensuring my watch was delivered to the airport just in time for my flight. She also took the time to explain Partridge’s heritage and company profile, adding a personal touch to the experience. As a Rolex collector, top-tier service is something I truly appreciate, especially in an era where such experiences have become increasingly rare. This was a refreshing reminder of what luxury retail should be. Two thumbs up—three if I had them

   Extremely pleasant experience with the staff at partridge. Very patient and helped me select the right watch for me. Just got the 2 watches in hand right now and I couldn't be happier. Oliver was extremely helpful and gave a variety of selection that appealed to my taste, and helped me select the best watch for me that day. And when I came back a couple days later, Michael helped me find the perfect watch for my father. I am extremely pleased with my experience, and I will definitely be back for more watches. :)
