My favorite spot for NZ-made art, crafts, and souvenirs. The selection is excellent, the staff are always friendly, and the overall vibe is awesome. Highly recommend for both locals and tourists.
Really delightful experience! I’m a Kiwi and popped in to just burn some time, but was absolutely stunned by the enormous range of high quality, unique and beautiful pieces which are uniquely NZ. You wouldn’t see this made in China! The lovely lady who was managing the store on Saturday was also delightfully charming and radiated positivity and peace. Attached is a photo of some interesting flutes. I bought a ceramic plate shaped like a green leaf.
Best place in Auckland for gifts and souvenirs and just outright great selection of made in NZ items. Definitely visit this store during your trip, you’ll leave content and having all your trip’s shopping done in one go. Also staffed by some very sweet and helpful people who were pleasures to chat with!
Outstanding place to buy souvenirs that are handmade by locals! Everything felt very authentically New Zealand and it was great to feel like I was supporting small businesses. Reasonably priced and a good variety of items, from honey to earrings to postcards to kitchenware! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to bring home gifts for themselves or for others.
Our granddaughter, over from Melbourne, wanted to buy some authentic Kiwi souvenirs and found Fantail House. What a lovely place with great stock supporting Aotearoa New Zealand artisans. We now know where to take overseas visitors for something special.
Wow, a hidden gem! This is a great gift shop selling beautiful NZ art, gifts and souvenir items, set down a little lane in a garden courtyard. I was surprised by the size of the store inside (across two levels) and the range of things available. Topped off with friendly service, this is a must visit if you are looking for a gift for family overseas or a piece of beautiful NZ art.
An excellent gift shop specialising in New Zealand made items. We visited on a whim and very pleased we did. Their range is diverse and the shop itself is well laid out. A great place to buy gifts or souvenirs - whether visiting or local.
