Great range of products. I always get my sports equipment and clothes from here. The store could be a bit cleaner though and maybe the customer service could be better.
had a great experience today with the team! ruby answered my phone call and put a clothing item on hold for me, she was lovely! then lucas helped me make an exchange, he was very friendly, great experience because of him for sure!!!!
Visited Rebel Sport Petone on the 24/12/2025 and the service was pathetic. I asked a lady for help to locate a size of takkie and she told me she is just heading to the till and will be back I must wait for her. I stood around the store for 20 minutes with no help. Eventually I found another lady who I asked for the size. The takkie was a display shoe. She first told me that they bring only a single shoe into the store for display and they dont have the partner shoe for the display one. Which made no sense. I asked her to check for a size for a pair for me. She told me it would be difficult for her to find the size im looking for. I asked her again to look instead of make excuses she goes into the back and talks to a colleague and comes back out and says no size. I asked for her manager who turns out to be the lady I was initially waiting for 20 mins. And told her what I need. She checks the system and finds there are more than 4 pairs of takkies in the size I need and brings a box to the counter. Very bad customer service and very unhelpful staff. I wont be returning to the store anytime soon.
Today, I visited Rebel Sports Petone to purchase a Nike roller 120L bag. When I enquired at reception, I was told that there were 10 units on order and 10 units in stock. However, I was unable to locate the item on the shop floor. I returned and asked for assistance. Initially, the young guy did not seem willing to help. Only after I pressed further did he ask a colleague to assist me. A lady checked, confirmed she could not find the bag, and then asked another staff member to follow up. I waited for over half an hour, but no one came back to confirm whether the item was actually available. The overall experience was very disappointing. It appeared that staff were more interested in dismissing me than in providing proper service. Rebel Sports has a strong reputation, but unfortunately, my experience did not reflect that standard. I hope this feedback helps improve the level of customer service provided in-store.
Well laid out but seem to be short of assistances.i wanted a particular item but the young man I approached wasn't interested in helping. I then found a woman in the shoe department and she went to an awful lot of trouble to find what I needed. Even going out the back to find it. I was impressed. Alot of gear but the assistants don't seem to know where things are. Maybe new stock coming in and new assistant's. Good product that I wanted, so happy .
A great range of sports clothes and equipment. Staff not at all proactive but that doesn't matter if you know what you want. We bought soccer boots. Lots to choose from.
What an absolute shambles !! Complete madness in there. More stock on the floors and in trolleys than on the shelf. Staff looking bored as ever , just looked at me blank in the face when I said hello. Was also my birthday. I had $1500 in vouchers to spend , left with nothing but disappointment. Will need this resolved asap , even an email back or will be taking it further.
We visited this place several times to get the sporting items we wanted. We bought items on the spot and also tried click and collect. Both are no hassles. We got the shoes, hoodies and training pants. They also have sales on many items. Staff are helpful although there are not many. The parking lot is spacious and it has specific spots fro disabled. The store is disability friendly as well.
