   My first visit to the Monterey Theatre complex and I was very disappointed in the state of the interior. In cinema 3 the carpet is threadbare in many places and the projection wall and ceiling at the rear is covered in thick dust above where someone has made an effort to clean. This results in the cinema having a strong smell of old dust. Seats are OK. Had to ask for the lights to be turned off. Nice person on reception. Please, get the cleaners in.

   Carpet is worn right through to holes in Cinema 1 (G6 seat aisle) !!trip hazard!! but luckily I managed to grab the seat armrests to steady myself whilst moving to my seat. For my safety I will not visit again as so unsafe I not sure I can bear another stint in hospital. Not Recommended

   Go there just for a coffee, wine, beer and some RD's also light meals, enjoy a movie, seating is extremely comfortable. The facilities are clean and have a very relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy, as I have done. Cheers

   My low rating is only based on current conditions. I think patrons need to be aware construction noises from the adjacent building work can be heard in cinema 1, possibly others. Choose your session time wisely. Once things are back to normal my rating will improve.

   Great movie experience, We did pre-booked so only picked up tickets, we ate there and got snacks. The place was clean and tidy, Toilets included in take. Happy to go there again

   Been there twice in last 6 weeks. On both occasions the cinema was very cold and the sound far to loud. On my 2nd visit today the cinema was very cold and again the sound far to loud. Further, the movie had started but the lights stayed on until my wife informed management. Then when film finished we had to stumble our way out in the darkness as lights stayed off. Will go to Lower Hutt cinema next time.

   The place is in upper hutt and its near to the railway station and bus stop. They mostly release all the indian movies. Hollywood, bollywood, kollywood or Tollywood you can watch here for less price. 14$ for a ticket is reasonable, the indian movies normally releases in a small theatre though. They have popcorn, drinks, combos, lollipops and much more for a movie.

   Good location, easily accessible, enough parking space. Lots of tables, chairs, and sofas are available for waiting. The stall inside serves most of the hot and cold beverages. Obviously, popcorn is available! Screen size was okay, could be bigger. Seats are a bit uncomfy.
