Room was spacious, comfortable bed, great location and the fit out is modern (good TV with casting). However, the towels were quite stained, it looked like they hadn’t even been washed. We called reception who asked us to take the towels down ourselves to the reception to replace them, as they had limited housekeeping. Carpark is super tight as well.

We first got a very smelly room (windows can't be opened), when we asked for a different they let us wait for 1h. It was very noisy: windows that are not sealed properly, AC that turns on for some seconds and off again, even though it's turned off, elevator noises, even though we asked for a quiet room when booking. One night, there was some loud music being played outside, after 11.00pm, when I asked the receptionist what was going on, he said someone playing music and I first had to ask him to call the police, they wouldn't just do that for their guests without being asked for. One towel was so dirty: full of really big stains, hand washing liquid was missing, you could only use the one in the shower as it was attached

Stayed 2 nights 11/12 Oct 25 Pros: Good location in the city Room was compact and clean as was the rest of the hotel. Cons: Parking storage not good as was way too small and not suitable for medium/long cars as the turn up the ramp is too tight! So had to park in Wilson Parking building which was annoying and expensive! The tiled floor in the shower in the bathroom room is dangerous when wet and is extremely slippery. There should be railing to hold on to?? This is an accident waiting to happen. TWNB unfortunately was the width of a hospital gurney. Very narrow so sleep was broken....waiting to fall out of bed. Left the change of room card on the door handle the next morning to be serviced. It hadn't been serviced by evening time when we arrived back so had to call housekeeping. Unfortunately there were issues with this stay. M Montgomery

Was extremely satisfied with my stay at Oaks Wellington, from the moment you check-in the staff will go out of there way to help in anyway. The rooms are tastefully decorated with nice mutual colors that give that nice relaxing vibe, plenty of space to move around as well. Room has everything you need for a awesome stay, my room was large and extremely comfortable, the balcony was a good spot to relax and unwind any time of the day. The bar and restaurant is brilliant, has a wide range for the buffet breakfast which tasted fresh and well cooked. Check-in and check-out was a breeze with no issues for both. Enjoyed my stay, and will definitely be back the next time I am in Wellington. A few nights was definitely not long enough

Great location, but struggled with annoying noises in the staff room every morning. Our room was okay, but I guess they forgot to set it up! We had to request cutlery and some plates, milk, coffee, etc! The bathroom didn't have a toilet brush! A tissue box was used.. I think someone should double-check all these kinds of things!

Clean and well located, but be warned: most rooms don’t have windows, so you will not know what time it is or the weather until you go outside. Stayed there during the women’s World Cup and the hotel’s pricing was almost offensive (for comparison, we paid half as much to stay in Sydney at a much, much better hotel, also during the World Cup).

Every recent review here is accurate. Problem focusef staff with absolutely no solutions. Parking is stressful if you can even get one, despite requesting it in advance. Hard to get to the entrance, particularly if you have luggage to haul. Rooms are freshly renovated, but all night you hear the lift shuttering and other guests. The no window thing wasn't really a problem for us, but I can see why it would be if you stayed for more than 2 days or so. Plenty of other options for better value. Extremely disappointed with our stay!

Great location right next door to the St James theatre. If you are watching a show there I highly recommend staying. Car parks are available for smaller vehicles as it is a very tight space. The room was tidy and clean. Good centre location with heaps of places in walking distance.

Used to enjoy staying here but my recent check in at the Oaks was a disaster i arrived at 5pm to be told the room wasn't ready where check in is from 2pm. After waiting 45 minutes i decided to take a room without a window as i was over waiting. The chef has also changed the restaurant menu and has removed lamb two ways which was always a highlight of my trip to Wellington. A heads up before heading to the hotel that the room isn't ready would be appreciated in future.
