   If you are looking for a curlcut by a curl expect for HALF the price in Wellington— THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU! Tina the owner was so incredibly accomodating to what I wanted to achieve, she told me she’s had years worth of experience and throughout the cut and wash she gave me tips on how to manage and style my curly hair. Her expertise really showed through my haircut, I had uneven and choppy front layers and she fixed it for me so it blends evenly. I’ve learnt so much about my hair and how to maintain and treat it through her in just one session as I found her lovely to chat to, and I’m so happy with my hair. Definitely would recommend.

   I cannot recommend Taboo salon enough! Tina is a very talented hair stylist who specialises in cutting curly hair. She really understood my needs as a curly hair girl, and was able to transform my hair without changing the overall length, which is exactly what I had asked for. She took the time to understand my specific needs and hair type, and was very professional and considered in her approach. If you are a curly girl who is frustrated at never getting a good cut for your curls, you have to go and see Tina. She is also very reasonably priced for the excellent service that you get, - try Tina once and you will not see another hairdresser in Wellington!

   I never post reviews, but this was one of the best haircuts I've had in a long time. Tina is great and clearly has a lot of experience with curly hair. It seemed effortless on her part, like she knew exactly what would work with my hair. I just wanted my split ends cut, and then she suggested adding a layer as well, I said yes, and I'm so happy with the shape. Thank you!!

   Tina saved my curly hair after a botched cut by another stylist at a different salon - she was so understanding, educated me on what they did & how curly hair is meant to be cut. It looks so much better now, I left her salon feeling so stoked with the job she’d done. Definitely worth the trip in from the Hutt!

   I have naturally curly hair and found Tina is the only hairdresser in Wellington who knows how to handle it. I'm always very happy with my cut and colour. It's very good value for money and I find my conversations with Tina are fascinating, not the normal banal chit chat you get at a lot of hairdressers. Would highly recommend.
