I fixed an appointment with Abbie and it wad such a wholesome experience! She made me feel comfortable, answered hundreds of questions for me, taught me a thing or two about hairstyling. I came with the a look just as I wished for! Coming back for sure!
Best hairdressing experience I've had in Wellington in years. Really appreciated the team's professionalism, kindness and hospitality. Especially the hot towel and hand cream, as well as the deluxe head massage. I am thrilled with my cut and colour and all of the extra styling tips. Best kept secret in central Welly!!! My hair was over processed during a colouring treatment resulting in severe damage, needing several inches cut. Discussed concerns with the stylist who blamed the damage on my hair while trying not to take any responsibility. Felt like the priority of the salon was charging $$ not the end result.
Shalisa did a fantastic job with my curls! She knew all the right techniques to make them look perfect, and she was such a sweetheart too :) This salon has amazing service, a pretty interior, and a very fancy experience for great prices. The complimentary tea was the cherry on top

Shalisa and the team have looked after me for years, nursing my mistreated hair back to full health, and I always look forward to my appointments there. A very talented team using fabulous organic oway products, fully recommend!
Just popped in today for my first ever appointment. Alysha was absolutely wonderful, my hair looked amazing and she was really careful to make sure it was a style that would work with my every day life. The whole experience was lovely - from the complimentary (and very tasty) coffee to the cute dog. Lovely vibe and everyone seemed really nice. Thank you very much, and I would absolutely recommend.
Luxurious, One-of-a-Kind Hair Experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My daughter and I recently visited this boutique suburban hairdresser and I was absolutely blown away by the experience! Not only was the salon incredibly stylish and well-appointed, but the staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive to our needs. The fit-out of the salon was absolutely awesome, with modern, comfortable chairs and chic decor that made me feel like I was in a high-end city salon. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a warm smile and offered a delicious selection of cafe drinks. My daughter opted for a green tea and I had a flat white which was expertly prepared and tasted divine. It's not often you find a hairdresser that also serves top-notch beverages, but this salon has certainly nailed it. As I settled into my chair, I was provided with a warm hand towel infused with a delightful scent. The accompanying cream left my hands feeling soft and pampered. This extra touch really made me feel like I was being treated to a luxurious spa day, rather than just a haircut. The stylist took the time to understand both our hair needs and preferences, and we could not have been happier with the final result. Our hair looked stunning and we left the salon feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I cannot recommend So You Hairdressing enough. From the amazing fit-out to the indulgent cafe drinks and the pampering hand treatment, every detail has been carefully considered to create a truly unique and relaxing experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
An amazing experience for a notorious hairdresser avoider. Abbie and the Team were a dream from the minute I stepped through the door. Abbie listened to me intently, explained what she needed to do to achieve my hair goals, and executed exactly what I had envisioned. As someone who can be quite anxious to visit the hairdresser, it was a fun, relaxing and really refreshing appointment. I honestly felt like I could take on the world afterwards. The option of booking a 'Silent Appointment' is really apprecated by someone who needs quite a bit of quiet time to recharge. Miss Quinn is also the best hairdresser support pup ever.
I am so impressed with this place - they are so deliberate about haircuts and treat your hair gently. I have had haircuts from Abbie and Shalisa and they both have done a beautiful job. Highly recommend this place and haven't been this happy with haircuts in a long while!
