Great service, cut and prices. Anaru is friendly and aims to please. He always does a great job and is happy taking feedback and making adjustments. And they offer a discount to seniors, which I really appreciate. It's my go-to barber shop!
I have followed Anaru from shop to shop over the years now travelling halfway across Auckland just to have him cut my hair, without a doubt the best barber in Auckland. PS: I’m not sure what’s better the cut or that cold crisp beer you get during your cut on a Friday;)

I recently visited the new barber who’s just taken over from the previous owner, and I have to say .I’m seriously impressed. I brought my two grandsons along, and they were blown away by his fading skills and technique. You can really tell he knows what he's doing. What stood out even more was how great he was with the kids friendly, patient, and made them feel comfortable right away. The price was also very reasonable, which is always a plus. We’ll definitely be going back. It’s great to have found a barber who combines skill, professionalism, and a great attitude with kids. Highly recommended!

I think I've used all of the more popular and busy barber shops in Birkenhead and this one, perhaps unexpectedly, is the one I'll be sticking with. The gentleman barber (maybe Ross) is very skilled and has a great eye. Best hair cuts I've had. I believe they have a more mature clientele usually, but I am a late twenties, image conscious guy and he does a great job for me.
Lovely lady working - unfortunately thats it. Asked for a low fade, reitereated this 3 times and pointed/showed the hieght. Asked for a very small trim off top, again showed the length wanted off. Barber asked if we were on same page and reitereated what I told her. All good so far. First thing that was done was razoring off the horizontal length of top of my head. Now I would of called it here and said stop and walked out, but unfortunately everything I wanted had already been ruined and there was no chance of making it acceptable looking at another barber as it was a very high line. So i sat and let the barber continue. The fade was very very rough, very patchy and uneven, and the top had about 1/3rd to 1/2 of length taken off in varying places, in some spots on the top it was nearly to the scalp. I would never leave a bad review everyone has there days. but in this instance it was double checked and outlined clearly what was wanted and I had been told was understood and clear. Now I have to wait 4 weeks for it to grow out for it to be tidied up. If anyone takes pride in their hair I highly recommend staying away. I thought the price point of $29 it wouldnt of been the worst. But unfortunately this is the worst cut Ive had. Looks like a cheap home job kids cut at best. Lesson learned, if you know a good barber, always wait till they're avaiable. It's not worth cheaping out getting a walk in cut at somewhere new Very very unhappy and nearly lost for words
No bigots at this shop, typical social media trolls. Friendly service from all the barbers, just moved into the area and glad to have a local that's not the normal run of the mill commercial chains.
Lovely people who cut hair well. I see a lot of judgement and hate in some of the other reviews from people who've never even been here, all because they wouldn't cut a woman's hair. I would think it pretty obvious they'd only cut men's hair - that's the business model of a barbershop!
