Came back a second time because I was missing home food so much. The rendang was really tender, spring rolls super crispy and filled with veggies, and the fried rice was perfectly seasoned. Tastes really similar to what I can get back at home in Singapore. Do note that portions are big so you can share!
I hadn’t been here for 12 years, and the kung pao chicken is everything I remembered it to be! I highly recommend it! My husband had the sweet and sour, which he liked as well. Such a good value and great place. Quick service as well. I hope this place never changes.
It’s a sweet little homely place for a meal. A humble menu and good food. The place is a family run establishment and you can feel that in their customer service. If you are looking for a good portion of home cooked meal, this is the place for you.
The way the waitress served is unprofessional, felt like she was throwing the plate of food on my table. Nasi Lemak was okay, chicken is dry. but after adding Sambal made the dish better! Peanut should be deep frying , just straight from supermarket. Order a piece of roti, it was okay. I think they should fix the door instead of keep asking their guests to close the door, with the impatience tone. 5 out of 3 guests didn’t close your door, it tell you something. It is not your house.
I asked for a vegetarian version of a dish and all I got was cabbage. Waste of $20. And the waitress was not helpful at all. When I asked about it She said "that's what it says on the menu" without any apology or solution. And even though when ordering I aaked twice "extra vegetables please," and she said "sure." 1 cabbage is not "vegetables" Does this look appetizing to you?
Not so nice ambiente, the food was nothing special. I had on some food truck much better food.

A great first impression! Colleagues and I went here for dinner when we were in Wellington for WoW and given that it is an absolute nightmare to book dinner during the WoW season (we found out the hard way) we had to venture out to the Cuba Street region, which I have no problem doing. We happened upon this restaurant which doesn't look like much but it has the best beef rendang I've had thus far. Busy staff were still very hospitable and friendly. The restaurant doesn't have the best interior or much of a vibe but my meal made up for it. I'm relieved to find out that there's a branch in Auckland so I don't need to wait until my next trip to windy Wellington to have my beef rendang fix from KK Malaysian!
