Butter chciken was more like a curry soup sorry. Not very clean or inviting premises. Sadly won't be back.
I noticed that this Curry place had great reveiws and was the cheapest. It did not disappoint, for a one man operated kitchen, it was quick and delicious! We had the classic butter chicken and lamb Madras and both were beautiful along with really good naans! We're not from out here but would totally recommend it to anyone passing through!!
"I recently dined at Curry 2 Go in Petone, and despite the lengthy wait (understandable for a one-man operation), the experience was well worth it! The Kiwi butter chicken was delectable and succulent. I also tried the tandoori prawn for the first time, which was incredibly tasty. However, my delight quickly turned to discomfort due to a sudden and urgent need for a bathroom break. Overall, I highly recommend Curry 2 Go - 10/10! The quality and flavor of the food outweighed any minor inconvenience. I'll definitely return soon."
Great butter chicken in a yummy deep red sauce with perfectly cooked rice. This butter chicken doesnβt stain your bench top a florescent orange colour like some other places do. Iβm not a big fan of naan but decided to try the garlic & cheese from another review. It was ok, more something I donβt eat rather than it wasnβt good. Not a lot of atmosphere, more the type of place to make a phone order & pick up. Photo taken is of half the portions, so more for later.
Best butter chicken in Wellington and such a friendly/quiet guy thatβs runs the shop. Everything 5 star but the shops abit rugged other then that the foods so good. βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
I ordered takeaway chicken mango curry with rice. It was tasty and a good serving for $18. The restaurant has probably seen better days, but there was a steady stream of customers. However, there was only one staff member taking orders and doing the cooking. In addition, he was currently working on a big order before mine, so some notice about how long my order was going to take would have been appreciated. The curry and rice were also in plastic packaging, so I would have preferred environmentally friendlier packaging.
The best curry I have ever tasted. There will be a bit of a wait, because it's cooked, not just reheated. As the name suggests it's more geared to phone orders/takeaway. Not a lot of seating. But . . . excellent curry.
