More people need to know about the flavour wizardry at this lovely restaurant nestled on Cuba Street. Initially, when we sat down, we felt a bit overwhelmed by the vast menu, struggling to decide what to order. Sunaina, our attentive hostess, took our appetiser order while we continued to deliberate on the main course. By the time our Masala Dosa arrived, we were ready for our mains. The dosa was fabulous; the curry potato filling was superbly spiced, and the accompaniments were equally delicious. The Pinot Gris paired perfectly with the spicy flavors. We hadn’t even finished the dosa, and I was already set on giving a 5-star review. Our mains were next-level. The Aloo Baingan, with its sticky, jammy gravy, and the Biryani added layer upon layer of flavour. The atchaar chutney and pickled onions were a delightful treat. Su was a wonderful hostess, sharing snippets of her family’s rich and varied history. I cannot recommend this gem of a restaurant highly enough!

Don't know why this place does not have a 5 star rating. The food was great especially the cheese and garlic nan and the Raj Kachori. Very friendly and helpful waitress too. Go eat there. You will not be dissapointed!

We had an amazing time. The food tasted outstanding and came out very quick. We also appreciated that they had a fully vegan menu. The staff were also very knowledgeable and made the effort to explain the origins of the dishes we were eating and share how they were cooked. We also found the staff really professional in the face of some rude demanding customers, who were expecting long conversations after they had ordered when there were other guests who needed to be served. The customers were absolutely awful, but the staff handled everything politely and professionally while ensuring everyone was still served in good time. Would highly reccomend!

I was a little disappointed with my food to be honest, staff seemed confused by my questions. I have been here about 9 years ago and it was awesome but I think they have new owners now. Food was ok but pretty bland and watery, chicken tasted weird. Still a cool place though and seemed busy, maybe the chef was just having a rough night.

not enough people are talking about this place, had one of the best meals since i've been in wellington. i don't know why we didn't try this place earlier Everything we ordered tasted absolutely delicious and uniquely different, nothing felt repetitive. The dishes weren't sweet, the spice level was spot on, and it was genuinely authentic, felt like i was having this somewhere in India and the staff were super sweet. if you're looking to have an authentic indian meal, now you know where to go. this place over all other indian restaurants in town (trust me because i've tried em all :))
