   Honestly food was a mixed bag. Really not good Chinese food. I suspect this place has harvested some fake reviews to be rated so highly. The cold cucumber and cold fungi dishes were so off and not what they should have been. The waiter was awesome though. Drink selection is very poor! Come on, at least serve some decent beer other than that rubbish Tsingtao.

   Visited CT for the first time this New Year and indulged in the long-craved Chongqing flavors. The taste remains authentic; if only this gem were closer to home, it would undoubtedly become our regular haunt. Opted for Chongqing Chicken Hot Pot, sizzling Tofu on a hot plate, and Sour and Spicy Soup – skipped my favorite Langya Potatoes this time, fearing we couldn't finish. The tofu's crispy exterior perfectly complements its tender inside. The Sour and Spicy Soup could use a tad more pepper, but it suits my preference for a comforting warmth. The Chicken Hot Pot strikes a balance, not overly spicy, with tender chicken and flavorful potatoes and celery. If you find yourself in CT without a dining plan, don't miss out on this place!～～^_^

   I just tried their stir-fried pork with green pepper, and oh my goodness, it was seriously amazing! The flavors were spot on, and they cooked it to perfection. I enjoyed every single bite, no joke! I gotta give a shout-out to the awesome lady working there. She was super friendly and helpful, letting me know how long it would take to cook. The customer service was seriously top-notch, and it made the whole dining experience even better. I'm seriously happy with both the food and the service. This place is totally worth checking out! Whether you're in the mood for some tasty dishes or you want friendly and efficient service, this spot has got you covered. Trust me, give it a shot!

   The most overpriced underwhelming food I’ve ever purchased in the city of Auckland. I was drawn to this place after seeing this on Tik Tok. After hearing the reviewer give this restaurant such high praise, I had to see for myself. I played it safe and ordered two of the same dish, this being the salted egg yolk prawns. After spending a whopping $67.80 and waiting a standard amount of time (10-15 minutes). I received an abnormally large plastic bowl, at first sight you’d think wow they’ve given us such large portions but no. Thirty-plus dollars for this dish and this is what we received. About 20 prawns and what felt like spare stale fried vermicelli ( I believe it’s vermicelli).

   The best Chong-Qing cuisine that I eat in Auckland. I have been here many times and tried to eat others Chong-Qing cuisine. This restaurant definitely can meet your spicy stomach. The staff there are kind and can adjust the spicy level as you wish. The last time I visited there, I asked the manager to have a short video interview for my YouTube channel and she was happy to cooperate with me.

   Had lunch here several days ago. Might be the most disappointing experience ever had. The 'Chef' was trimming nails on the dining table regardless of customers being there. Small pieces of bones found in the dish, and tastes totally different from other ingredients. Doubt if that was possibly coming from the other dishes during preparation. There was one cucumber salad forgot by the Chef and stuff completely until I asked. The dude seems not even caring about it. He still tried to serve it even we have finished all the other things. Personally I would highly concern about the safety of the food. The taste was quite average considering of the price.

   I've walked past this restaurant many times, wanting to come in but wasn't too confident that I could order the right thing. Finally came here for dinner with a couple of Chinese friends and got them to recommend and order. We ordered shared dishes and all was really good. I'm a bit surprised to find there are quite a few negative reviews. Perhaps as an advice for anyone who hasn't been here yet, go with your Chinese friend and ask them to recommend some good dishes.
