We had dhal makhhami and nano bread the dhal was very plain and bread is going to the birds. Most unusual previous were great. They need to fix this.
Feels a little lazy. Naan was not fresh. Did not ask about the spiciness, and the curry was too hot. Food has a strange aftertaste so we thought it's safer not to finish it. Not enjoyable.
Mint Leaf is great value and good quality, they give you a larger curry than most places. Lamb Korma is my go to and consistently good. The lady sometimes comes off as a little rude on the phone but it's not her intention (maybe just limited English), they are nice people. For the price and quality, this place really is great value.
Looks are deceiving but it's really well priced and the meals are so tasty! I got the butter chicken and it had the perfect taste that I love. My new go to Indian restaurant for sure! 5 years later and I thought I would update my review. Mint Leaf remains my favourite Indian takeout on the shore by far. I have tried all the local places as I have moved around the North Shore and they still can't compare to the taste, affordability, and portion sizes here. Even now that I live near Devonport, I will still make the trip over for Mint Leaf's butter chicken. The Naan is also fantastic, I often have the garlic and cheese Naan. I hope to keep coming here for years to come!
This was our go-to for years when we lived in Auckland. Always tasty.
Flavourful curry’s not your standard. Very Good stuff
1st time here, lady seem grumpy but then I smiled then a smile came back, man seems like a curmudgeon but lamb was tender with no gristle, sauce full of flavour, rice is rice, Naan bread ok but expensive, over all nice and will try again. Would be nice if you had an option at Indian takeaways for more meat at what ever price is reasonable per piece of meat.
Love the food here. Been going here for about ten years. Always the same good quality. Particularly like the Chicken Tika Masala and truely the best Onion bhaji I know of in Auckland and I have tried many. You need to visit if you love onion bhaji.
Awesome as always. Lots of flavour and generous serving. You can also place your orders via phone and then just pick it up on your way home if you want.
