Really good wood-fired pizza!!! Service was quick, so we didn’t have to wait long, which I really appreciated. It was so good we went back two days in a row.
Was an absolutely amazing place. The food is incredibly delicious. A lot better than Domino’s or Pizza Hut and was so fast we were in the car and got distracted and he came and delivered it to us. What a place, would recommend
If you're looking for authentic Italian woodfired pizza you have got to try Del Popolo. I've ordered their pizzas a number of times now and it's hands down the best pizza in Auckland - honestly better than some of the pizzas in Italy. The pizzas are cooked to perfection - chewy, flavoursome crusts and the toppings are so delicious, not to mention such good value for money. My fave flavour is the Boscaiola, but all of them are amazing. The team are so friendly as well. Don't forget to order one of the traditional tiramisus!
#wood fired pizza# This is my second time ordering their mushroom pizza. The ingredients are fresh, and the truffle oil aroma is strong. I like it. The staff are friendly. However, the flavor isn’t very consistent — the first time it was a bit too salty, and this time it’s too plain.
We really liked the pizzas and the guys were so friendly. Parking can be limited because it's in the parking lot of the RSA but there is road parking. I would have liked my pizza cooked a little longer for a crispier crust and the ham and truffle would have benefited from some hot honey. Otherwise they were delicious and I would definitely visit again. Price wise, these are an average price for a wood fired pizza, good for a treat on a cold weeknight.
Great pizza, flavours were out the gate. Really good service! Keep it up, we will be back with more people!
These pizzas are some of the best I’ve ever had. Delicious toppings and the base is so yum and cooked perfectly. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough! Il Verde and the Ortolana are a favourite, but all the ones we’ve tried are delicious.
We have spent years looking for a decent pizza in NZ. Not only are their pizzas decent, they are absolutely amazing, large, filled with toppings, fresh and hands down the best pizza in NZ!
We ordered 4 pizzas last night and they were incredibly good! Will definitely come back and order more. My only complaint is they are only open a few nights a week, otherwise I would have ordered more tonight!
Absolutely incredible wood fired pizzas!! Fantastic variety of flavours and toppings - great vegetarian options and even dairy free. Highly recommend Il Verde. Very reasonably priced for such authentic and quality ingredients and wowee do they do the most exceptional dough. Don’t sleep on this place 10/10 Can’t beat it
