“If you've never walked into a room full of 30 kids, that feels calm and peaceful - it's a pretty magical experience. Both my boys have attended this preschool from the age of around 2, and I don't know what kind of magic the teachers here possess but it's pretty common to walk in to a calm room, 30 kids of various ages working on something with a teacher, or playing peacefully together, or happily playing independently. This is an awesome preschool - amazing teachers, really hands on manager, and the coolest sandpit my boys had ever seen. Any time we've had an issue over the years the staff have been really proactive and managed it well. It's a fantastic preschool and absolutely incredible team of teachers who give so much to the kids every day.”

“Elim has been great for our daugter, who started there before she was one. The under-two's teacher was very good at helping her transition, and she now has a great time every day. One of the biggest benefits has been the great teacher to student ratio, as well as the consistency in the environment.”

“Kidsfirst Hawthornden is a wonder Kindergarten. It has a large outdoor area with a mix of modern and traditional play equipment for the children. The community at the kindergarten is strong, with many activities throughout the year which help bring whanau into the Centre and builds connection. My two children have both enjoyed their time at Hawthornden and I feel very happy to leave them their under the kind and capable care of the teachers. Highly recommend.”

“A heartfelt thank you to Abi’s Natural Horsemanship! We tried three different riding schools before, but only here did we truly learn how to understand horses and build conscious, respectful relationships with them. At Abi’s school, we finally saw horses not as identical animals, but as unique individuals with their own personalities and behaviours. My daughter and I have been attending lessons for three months now, and the progress in both of us is amazing. I’ve come to understand that a true horse rider is not the one who controls with words or a whip, but the one who earns the horse’s trust and respect.
