“The arts department has some very good teachers! They are always ready to help and guide any student at any time.. the resources provided here are also great!”
“This was the school I used to go when I was little and I have lots of good old memories from this school. I still remembered how nice and positive people were in this school. I made lots of friends here and teachers were supportive too. I was in a class with Mr.Philips. one of the coolest teachers I met. Definitely recommend this school to others.”
“Great school. Friendly, modern and well-equipped”
“Good school for special needs children”
“A wonderfully connected school which celebrates tradition, mindfulness, meditation and enhancing education superbly in class yet also beyond the classroom. My two boys have flourished.”
“I attended this school from 2006-2011 which was a very long time ago but I think it is a very good school, I remember we had a History day where we learnt about Riverhead and had to dress up in Clothing of the time period of the earlier settlers and the teachers put so much effort into it, it really felt like we wentback in a time machine. The point of that long story is because I think they put so much effort into all the events or special days like Pizza day/ Sushi Day/ Rewards day/ Water sports day/ Mufti Days/ Coin Trails. It was a very long time ago that I attended this school but I think it is a wonderful school based on my past experiences... Not sure what it's like today though.”
“the sun burn was not nice was it.”
“I’ve known TPCS since I was a kid. My son goes there and he begs me never to move him he has made so much friends and loves all the teachers. I love how it’s not over crowded with students my son get more one on one interactions with the teacher and it’s a massive benefit for all students. The strict protocols are great my son has learnt to prioritise study and playtime and getting the parents to be more proactive in a child’s life is a great boost for us.”
“Great School within 45 minutes of Auckland CBD, which maintains its rural heritage but also apply modern and creative teaching practices to accelerate and extend children’s learning. A real family atmosphere within the teachers, students and parent community.”
“Best primary school ever I'm crying cause of holidays I want more school that means this school is the best”
“Amazing staff and really good school”
“Loads of respect for this school & staff. Both teaching and & support staff, are very respectful and inclusive. The principal always begins all comms with cultural acknowledgments, both individual and public, and her door is always open for discussion. Communication & transparency is always encouraged here and I have witnessed this first hand. This year I approached the principal to ask if the school would consider a "Diwali Celebration" day and this was met with enthusiasm. She even provided off the cuff information regarding the demographic make-up of the school and said they would be more than supportive of the idea, therefore this year, there is a project to facilitate this day. The school has multiple cultural activities including school haka and whakatau pohiri for new intake cohorts. Maori Language week is celebrated by a (school funded) Matariki breakfast and multiple other cultural ventures facilitated by the school. Other cultures have approached the school for support and advocacy for their respective week, and language and they have never declined. Given a rural environment, the drop off drive-thru system is appreciated due to both convenience & security. Each student is met by a member of staff, welcomed and sent to their class as they arrive. The efficiency of this process especially during lockdown levels, was testament to the staff's precision, commitment, and dedication to our children. Also given I have had younger children in the car in previous years, and also don't want to put the staff at risk mid pandemic- there simply aren't enough teachers to go around.”

“I went to this school, and it has been amazing for my education. It is the best primary school one could wish for. I loved going to Remuera Primary School.”
“As a former student of JC I'm proud to have attended here! The school may have a bad reputation but it's ultimately up to each individual student as to what they make of their high school lives and education. I got everything I needed, life lessons, how to handle hardship, and teachers support, now I earn a 6 figure income and have traveled the world! It's amazing what the right foundations can do, I hope there are a lot more students that graduate from JC that find their way in this hectic world!”
