   We had such a great culinary experience tonight! The brisket was very tender and served with mashed potatoes (at my request), broccoli, mushrooms and cauliflower. The buffalo wings were delicious, as were the mac and cheese balls and the curly fries. Large selection of tap beers. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Thank you for a lovely evening!

   I couldn't get into the pot pie. The way it's served is challenging to eat without making a huge mess. The flavor wasn't my personal favorite. On the flip side the pulled pork burger was delicious and absolutely massive. The pork was tender. Everything on it was delicious and fit well.

   We went here and ordered the fish and chips and open brisket sandwich. The food was quick and portions really hearty. The fish was beer battered and fried which was really great in terms of texture. You will need to flavour it alot on your own though. The curly fries were fried and seasoned well - fresh and not stale or soggy. They also gave you a decent amount for the side salad as well. For the brisket, the portion was good - the meat could have had a little more seasoning but overall it was good. Lastly‼️ there is a really GOOD amount of vege options for vegetarians!!! And theres items for vegans as well - we assumed there wouldn’t be because it is a pub but we were pleasantly surprised when we got here in person :)

   Fabulous historic pub, friendly staff and a great range of beers and ciders. And Happy Hour runs Monday to Friday from 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm. Free in stree parking after 5.00 pm.

   Warm, spacious, awesome vibe. The food was amazing and it's portions size is something I'm not used to cos Auckland gives less haha loved the background music. Family friendly and the setting of the pub reminds me of old school English and Irish bars. The staff were very inviting and friendly, the food came out pretty quickly too. Right in the middle of the city

   It's a popular bar and eating place. A lot of live sports screens, seating is pretty well spaced. Great beers on tap. I found the pork ribs to be pretty lean but tasty enough. My wife's steak and chips was nice.

   Best fish and chips in NZ so far. The price is a bit high but the food is really good. It came real fast, it was delicious and the portion was more than enough. Fresh and hot food with live fire pit and lots of customers means only one thing. We are coming back :)

   We had just finished walking thru the Rotorua Night Market and decided to have dinner here. The front of the restaurant was brightly lit with fairy lights around the large tree in front and called attention to the classic building where the restaurant is. We didn't have a booking and was lucky to get in as it was still early in the evening. We ordered the special lamb shanks and the pork belly. Food, drinks and service was good! Definitely recommended pub for dining and drinks.
