   Rip off. $7.50 for a thin, skinny snapper that's smaller then my hand. You'll get more buying fish bites for $1 each then the snapper at $7.50. Service is poor, no greeting or smiles-Sour!! The sausages are good and worth it, other then that nope, never again.

   Yeah nah. Ordered snapper, it was tiny... either half of it was missing or bro, thats undersized!! Soggy batter, chips weren't cooked all the way through. Bloody disappointed $27 for 2 pieces of fish a couple pineapple fritters and a handful of chips. We were looking forward to a decent feed of fish and chips and would have been regulars... wont be back.

Absolutely beautiful, not oily, perfect crisp batter, snapper was fresh, chips perfectly cooked and plenty of them.    Proceed with caution. If I could give zero stars I would. We ate here today and had the fish (trevally) with chips and 2 milkshakes. Without doubt the worst feed of fish and chips we’ve both ever eaten in our lives. To make it worse, the milk in the milkshakes must have been off as we are now both ill and have been for the last 3 hours. This place used to be awesome - now its only worthy of two words - Never Again.

   My partner and I ordered battered snapper with a hotdog and chips. The fresh snapper melted in the mouth along with the crisp light batter. Chips were awesome aswell as hotdog. Best fish and chips! Highly recommend whenever you come through to Maketu. We even got gifted a box of homemade bread! Beautiful people, beautiful meal and beautiful place. We will definitely be back!
