And this is generous. Poor service, no doctors, no follow ups as advised they would. Your account payments are not reconciled and they say you still owe money. This is a real shame this practice has got so bad especially in a small town. It was once a great doctor's.. ... what happened.
Kawerau medical centre - months ago I called for an appointment as I was concerned for my health. I had an appointment a few days later and doctor Indira tells me “I will keep in contact but if I forget make sure to follow up because this is important” didn’t think I would have to do that, isn’t that your job? and then I get no call for a month and a half so I’ve tried to call them the last few months and nobody picks up.
Doctor reckons has to write things U talk about down straight away so won't forget and not mix U with other patients , cause she getting old. asked about 2 other things she said no not her job . Nurse changed dressing no gloves worn.going to other doctors this one a joke
i always liked this practice even though they have staff problems doctor Edwards is mine she is brillant but today all i wanted was some Efudix cream for my skin cancer and the man down there which thinks he knows all about skin things know s nothing he would not give me a prescription and soon as i said i went to a skin clinic he said theres the door i think he is rude and arogent and should be dismissed all the other doctors there always have treated me well and after this i will be thinking of changing my doctors
My wife had to wait several weeks for a phone consult which was supposed to be at 3-30 today her phone rang just after 3 unfortunately she was in the toilet so missed the call she assumed that she would get a further call a bit later but nah. Tried the surgery no one available. I think this is atrocious I struggled to put 1 star
5th Jan 2021. My partner Walked into centre with a deep cut to foot. Though the centre works on appointment only the nurse attended him with in 30 minutes. Care given was compassionate professional and thorough. Left centre with stitches well dressed wound and antibiotic coverage. A high grade of care given Thank you from holiday makers as casual walkins.
Unfortunately the previous 1 star reviews of this medical centre accurately reflect my experience here. I have found it extremely hard to get an appointment with the doctor for my child (who is under 5). The appointments we have secured with both Doctors and nurses have resulted in inaccurate diagnoses that have been corrected after having to go to Whakatane hospital A&E as there was no available doctor appointments when my child’s condition had not improved or had been complicated. I have made my concerns known to admin. Have since applied to change to another medical practise.
Staff are very friendly, facilities new and clean, but unfortunately consultations felt rushed, sometimes didn't even get examined, just asked one or maybe three questions by the doctor, and then given a prescription all within a minute, (the nurses are more thorough). Jadelle was put in wrong side of arm, had to get that removed. Was sick for 3 months straight yet kept getting prescribed the same things. Daughter was prescribed cream for rash on eyelid, was later told by another doctor that it can cause blindness, (like WTH!) Have since moved my family to another practice and am so relieved, all have been well ever since.
