The mixed seafood was amazing! The weather was ideal, so we made use of their nice outdoor picnic tables. Delicious!

Odd experience, to say the least. At counter, ordered two coffees and was asked if we wanted them in takeout cups. Wanting to sit outside, we said yes, cashier repeated back that we wanted our two coffees in takeout cups ... and got served coffees in ceramic cups. Ordered fish and chips and was asked if we wanted peas or salad with that. Said salad, and cashier repeated back to us that we wanted salad ... and got served peas and no salad. In addition to two coffees and fish and chips, took a chance on their seafood platter, which turned out to be almost identical little contents from the frozen 'seafood platter' boxes you can get at Woolworths supermarket, but with a $24 pricetag instead of $9. Comes with nothing else - no lemon, tartare sauce, chips or salad or anything. So, for $60 for fish and chips, an oddly small amount of cheap seafood that came out of a frozen bag, plus two coffees, combined with the weirdness of everything we were asked about for our order being completely ignored and wrong, we won't be back. There are several other options at Waitati, so will try another next visit.

My go to feel good place. All the food is AMAZING. On a cold day the fire sets the atmosphere, warmth surrounds you. On a sunny day the doors are opened to the beautiful outdoor eating area with the stunning Blue skin Bay as the view. It doesn't get better than this. A MUST VISIT on your journey.

Went to the Blueskin Gallery for a lunch bite and coffees. First thing I noticed was the lovely aesthetic and art pieces, it felt really cosy. Staff were more than friendly and happy to our orders and even a chat. Has nice outdoor areas with plenty of tables and things for kids too. Beautiful outdoorsy art and garden that really opens up to explore. Coffees were nice and came in cool glasses. Food was average but wasn't awful. Chips could be cooked better and more consistent and bacon buttie was alright though nothing special. Would definitely come back here and maybe for the dinner menu and some drinks to try more, it's worth it just for the atmosphere.

Nice venue, but the service was beyond poor. Not only was our order forgotten, but no apology was offered. One less place to ever visit again in Waitati.

Amazing experience here. Got coffees, cake and some chips which came with home made smoky aioli which was truly delicious. Really nice staff, perfect coffee, great customer service and an all round fun experience. Best cafe I've been to in quite some time. Will be back!
