We went the Papamoa Store and they were great. I had carpet and vinyl installed. What I really liked is that after each job was done, they called the next day to check we were happy. The both the carpet and vinyl layers did an amazing job. Really please and highly recommend.
We used Flooring Xtra Tga 12 years ago and had exceptional service and installation of our cavalier bremworth wool carpet. We priced around for our renovations and they still held solid ground against all the competitors. Sales help from Jo enabled us to consider all options, easy to talk to, helpful and clear about what to include/exclude to meet needs. Their installer Chris was outstanding. Despite restrictions with fresh paint and a tight decorative stair case, not a single mark was made. He worked solidly the entire day and fitted in the little extras we asked for. Invisible joins were definitely the highlight! Really pleased and would recommend to anyone for fair pricing and outstanding service.
In all honesty we received the most amazingly good service from Flooring Xtra, Papamoa. From first contact seeking a quotation for full carpet replacement in our home the customer service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. The cost was very competitive but the confidence we felt with this business was certainly a deciding factor. Installation was very quick and the guys removing the old carpet & underlay and installing the new were great. The team at Papamoa were amazing. I dealt mainly with Janet Coutts - sales and Peter who measured and has expert knowledge. They were friendly, professional and helpful. They listened and advised / recommended accordingly. Any queries were quickly resolved and answered and dealt with in a timely manner. The quote was competitive and their product range had exactly what I wanted - and some things I didn’t know about - like acoustic underlay for the laminate flooring. My house is quieter now. The laminate flooring installer, Braydon, and carpet installers, Chris and Josh were great to deal with. Quick and professional and did a great job helping ‘disestablishing’ and ‘re-establishing’ my household furniture. A relatively painless experience for a wonderful makeover in 3 days.

I had a problem with part of my carpet, the cat had scratched part of it bare! I took a piece of the carpet to Flooring Xtra (after going else where first) and they matched the carpet and couldn’t do more for me. Excellent service when I got my garage carpet from them too. The experience both my wife and I had was not good ! One person saying yes we fit floor tiles and another saying another day "no we don't ". Also no promised call back , hardly great customer care and service. We went to Harrisons Flooring who advised us and took care of the work and left the worry out . All I can say to Xtra is work hard to get your team trained up so your business reputation grows!
I was most disappointed at having to pay a minimum charge of $340 to have a contract carpet layer re stretch our bedroom carpet and join three door ways. It took him 1 1/2hrs. He made a nice job and most apologetic. We were a past customer, having bought our carpet and vinyl, for our house. I would not recommend asking them for a carpet layer or doing busines with them again.
