   Appalled by the service here. The owner does not know how to treat his customers with dignity and respect. This is the second experience I have had with this awful man. I went in here today to grab dinner, I asked whether one item in the dinner pack could be swapped over to something else. Instead of offering an option, the owner/ manager rudely asked “what do you want?” When I asked if he could swap the item for a spring roll he dismissively replied “no, that’s too expensive.” I then asked what he could replace the item with, he said, “you can either add to the pack or choose whatever you want.” I left immediately, and would never recommend anyone to buy anything here. The food can be average, but the way you make someone feel when you serve them matters immensely. Inept individuals like this ruin business.

   Grumpy service as we keep adding more food it was like a problem. Got half the order wrong. Food was average as we were missing half of what we ordered

   Very disappointed as this has been the second time that we have ordered crumbed but we didnt get the order right. Plus the frontman in the store is always grumpy! Such a shame coz the food is great but maybe they can do better with service

   Used to love Macs. Food has gone downhill especially for the price. Arrived tonight at 7pm, 30 minutes before your closing & was coldly welcomed. Won’t be spending money somewhere the customers aren’t valued sorry

   Small fish at $7.50 for gurnard. Chips over cook when I specifically asked for underdone and lasagna really over cooked. Old owner prices and store name but the quality has definitely been taken with the old owners.

   Second time this has happened to us. I won't go back there. Fish was hard so thinking not fresh. Chips were hard like they were reheated and sold to us. Pretty poor quality.

   I went in at about 6pm and placed my order. Service was super quick znd friendly. The kumara chips were perfect - not at all soggy, and not overcooked and dry. The hot dogs were cooked well, with nice, crisp batter (although I do wish takeaway places would go back to battered sausages, which I much prefer to battered saveloys - just a personal preference). The fish was tasty, although the battered fillets fell apart as I tried to lift them out of the paper, and the battered stuck to the chips, which was a bit messy. The spud chips looked nice, but I didn't try them (allergies). As for "atmosphere", it's what you'd expect from a fish & chippy, with a few seats to sit on while you wait. It was very clean. Plenty of nearby parking on the road. I'd go back.
