The kitchen at Unphogettable takes a coffee-and-cabinet path and lets the food speak. Coffee pours are consistent and well textured. Plates offer plenty without tipping heavy. Grill work shows a clean sear and rested meats. Service stays present without fuss.
Fantastic, from the moment we stepped in we were greeted and felt so taken care of. The food was awesome, we had the pho, spring rolls and wontons, all well flavored, and large portions. The price was great, under $40 each for this meal and it was well worth it. Fresh food and a pho to be proud of. Well done!
It's good to be called unphogatteble , yes un-phogettablly terrible. We ordered the pho, buddha bowl , pork on rice and the beef stew For the price and claiming it had the 'famous' broth? 1/10 . Very bland, had no taste to it. Does not taste like pho at all The pork ? Might as well be a piece of rubber coated with sauce. Managed to bend a fork trying to cut it with a knife due to the amount of pressure that had to be placed Buddha bowl average ;might as well call it salad and vermicelli tossed with vinegar. The beef stew is the only meal that came out that could said to be okay. For the price and food there are a lot of other places around that is more worth your time and money. Solid 1/10 wouldn't recommend
The best pho I have ever had in NZ. Nice hot soup, juicy chicken and meatballs, plus a perfect combination of bean sprouts and other vegetables. I will strongly recommend the chilly oil to all spicy food lovers. You must add it to your soup. I was surprised by the Banh Mi, which is well-stuffed with meat and vegetables. After all these yummy dishes, John’s service brought the whole experience to another level. He is friendly and professional. We will 100% be there again.
Food was delightful and satisfactory. Service was impeccable. I do recommend coming here to run away from the kids for an hour or to eat some delicious food. Will defs be back.
Highly recommend! We dined in to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary for lunch and we were not disappointed!!! Fresh, plentiful and amazing service. Love the fresh rolls and the pho! So good, we walked out feeling so full and even took home our leftovers! Will be back!! Thank you heaps for making our day!
7 of us and we ordered all the dishes from the mains menu and a mixed platter for entrée. We got given an extra pho (house special) for free which was really nice of them. Out of all the mains we loved the Buddha bowls and the phos, the least favorites are the grilled pork on rice (a bit chewy) and the stewed beef (like an european casserole dish). The staff were really friendly and helpful. The pho broth is on the sweeter side and don't have the mung bean sprouts, quite different than the ones we had in many other Vietnamese places -but they are still very tasty. Highly recommended their phos and the Buddha bowls to others and thanks for the yummy dishes. All the best!
Nice little restaurant in Havelock North. The food was light and tasty. Service was excellent, server was really friendly. Fresh spring rolls, bao buns and banh mi and pho was delicious. Fried noodles were ok. The meatball on the house special pho was a bit too salty. Overall, a good restaurant.
