I found the bubble tea very watered down, which made it taste bland. Compared with other stores, the price here is higher, but the flavour is not as good. Another concern is hygiene β I noticed staff wearing the same pair of gloves for everything, including both cleaning and preparing bubble tea. This doesnβt seem sanitary and could be improved.

I donβt even want to rate one star, unexperienced staff and their attitude, staff has to more focus on the customer and their order instead of using their phones and talking to each other. Got us wrong drink and didnβt even informed us that our drink was ready, until I asked them if our drink is ready, they have left our drink unattended for 15 to 20 minutes, our token number was 76 or 77 and it was not busy. What is that token number for that you give to the customer??? How can customer will able to know if their order is ready or not if the staff didnβt inform or call the token number. Really disappointed with those staff. Need to learn.
Their drinks were too sweet. Recommend to reduce sugar level. Service was fast.
Love pearl bubble tea from Gong Cha, app is very easy to use.
I used to go all the way to Hamilton to get my Bubble tea fix but this place suffices my need to drive over the Kaimais just to get a drink. Tauranga isnβt what Iβd call a place with a lot of variety when it comes to βfood and drinks within a price rangeβ itβs really just bland, boring, un-exciting, westernised (all the ethnicity taken out of it) food and drink. So itβs good to actually have βaβ bubble tea place in the region. I order the melon tea with 70/70 (sometimes with jelly and foam topping) the grapefruit green tea 70/70 and the passionfruit tea 70/70 with lychee bubbles sometimes and itβs a good part of my visit whenever I go to Bayfair itβs like a routine :)
Absolutely fantastic. I was unable to speak at the time of ordering, so i used cards to communicate. The server smiled, nodded, and immediately switched to non verbal communication. The drink was great too
