Very good food. The steak was excellent, and the ribs in a very tasty sauce. The staff was friendly, but they could be more attentive to orders.
Steak is very good . I ordered rare for both steak and it cooked perfectly, lobster is fantastic 10/10 Duck salad over all is good but duck smell slightly strong 9/10 Mussels fresh 10/10
Iβm fourteen, and i had an extremely upsetting experience here. I came with my parents to celebrate a special occasion, as weβd been here before. I had ordered a 200 gram SCOTCH MEDIUM RARE. The first time, they served me a 200 gram SIRLOIN instead of a scotch, and we requested to have it swapped. They had informed us it would take about 5 minutes for it to come, and we waited. Afterwards, they served me a supposedly medium rare scotch that seemed much undercooked to be a medium rare and rather a rare. It was very difficult to slice, and it was evident that although the outside was cooked, the inside had not been cooked for long enough. I had tasted my dadβs order of a medium rare sirloin, and the scotch was clearly not a medium rare, as the sirloin was much more tender and evenly cooked compared to my order. The color itself was a HOT pink too. I assume after they had served me the wrong order, they were in a rush and had undercooked the steak, but Iβm very disappointed in the service & food. They had said a short apology to my dad when he was paying for the food, but nothing else was done.
Meh. Had the eye fillet and the Angus ribeye. Cook on the filet was mid rare as asked and the ribeye was blasted to medium well. Both steaks were not heavily seasoned which allowed the steak to shine but they could have used some salt. Also, the consistent offering of sauces is an indicator of what you're going to get.
Coming from an American that loves steak. The steak itself was done correctly. I have a little suspicion that the 55 day dry aged was a little mislabeled though. It didn't have the "FUNK" Mash: really good. Onion rings: great. One odd thing, they did ask for a tip, my weak American spirit broke and I gave them one. It's somewhat taboo in NZ from my understanding. I'm deducting a star specifically for this reason.
My husband and i dined here lastnight. The gentleman at the entry made us feel welcomed so we stopped here. He was very polite and considerate of us and our baby. Placing us inside by the heat-pump. The food was amazing. We ordered surf and turf and ribs that melted in your mouth. And other sides. The service was immaculate. And we felt very comfortable dining with our baby. Although they didn't have a baby changing room. The waiters and bar tenders were really lovely too. Would 100% be coming back
Went there with family and friends for my 50th birthday. Service was awesome, food first class, loved the heating all over the restaurant.
Read the reviews and was a little nervous but needn't have worried the ribs were amazing my husband devoured them. And I had the chicken breast which was tender and so full of flavour.
The food is great. The BBQ ribs and the lamb were really delicious. We love the risotto as well. The price was reasonable. Recommended.
