Absolutely best place to get a cake in Dunedin. The friendly staff helped us last minute 2 days before Christmas to create an amazing birthday cake. Value for money! Best tasting carrot cake ive ever eaten. Will definitely be back!
Ordered a birthday cake. Called and then got email confirmation. Went to collect the cake but they forgot about the cake. So, left the shop with no cake.
The cakes here are absolutely delicious, soft, fresh, and beautifully decorated! The lady at the counter was so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend this shop to anyone who loves quality cakes and great service!
Simply beautiful cakes that taste delicious. I went for a raspberry and white chocolate gateaux. A bargain for 62 dollars. We got 12 slices from it. Highly recommended!

Terrible customer service from the young man who came out as I was enquiring about pre ordering a birthday cake. I had spent hundreds of dollars there on my wedding cake years ago and had a fairly good experience, but I think management has since changed. Not sure why this man has such an arrogant attitude, you just make cakes buddy. Definitely won’t be going back there again.
My daughter in Wellington arranged for this to be delivered on my birthday while I was in Dunedin. It could not be faulted - it was fresh and delicious. We recently got married in Dunedin on April 2019. We stumbled upon the Dessert Room through word of mouth from family members. We were able to provide an idea of what we wanted our cake to look like, three tiered, three flavors, white icing and gold ribbon. The Dessert Room exceeded all our expectations. They took the time to ensure they got all the details right, embellished it with our flower theme and ensured a timely delivery. Many of guests went back for seconds and thirds because they were so impressed with how delicious the cake was (chocolate, vanilla and carrot). Thank you for making our day special!
