   ⭐ Lantern Light Dairy – Last Night’s Culinary Plot Twist ⭐ We’ve eaten at Lantern Light Dairy plenty of times, and normally it’s great — like, dependable “let’s grab dinner there” great. But last night? Last night was… something else entirely. The lambshank came out tougher and rubberier than a tyre off a 90s Corolla. I swear it put up resistance. And whatever that gooey, sticky substance was coating it? It looked like it escaped from a sci-fi movie prop department. Then came the chips, which were burnt so badly they could’ve passed for charcoal samples. I tapped one and genuinely expected sparks. But hey — credit where credit’s due — the gravy was the lone hero of the night. Warm, rich, delicious. The only thing stopping the entire meal from being declared a national emergency. And that’s what makes this whole situation even weirder: We’ve eaten there before and never had the food quality this bad. Not even close. This was a total curveball. Maybe the usual cook was off, maybe the kitchen gods were angry, or maybe Friday the 13th came early — but whatever happened last night… wow. They can do better. We know because they HAVE.

   Stale chips and chicken, obviously had been sitting there all evening. Customer service wasn't nice from the older wahine, they came off cold. Very disappointing experience with service and food.

   One of the best fried chickens around the world. A must visit for anyone staying or visiting Hastings and are into fried chicken. Don't miss out on their sweetbread (do your research as to what this is before you order, it's not bread), get their garlic pottie and their sour cream pottie goes well with their chips too. The whole store keeps rolling out order at a good time, barely have to ever wait for more than 5 minutes.
