Service a little slow due to cruise ships in but worth the wait. Took around 35min, Fish and Chips, 1 $5 scoop was enough for two people, Crumbed fish was the best at $8, nice and light and very fresh. Would highly recommend anyone wanting fish and chips in portβ¦
What I can say is that view from that place is amazing. You may enjoy sitting and watching great view at the ocean, mountain and people enjoying fishing, doing some water activities. Great place for lunch or snack.
Fish and hotdogs were really good. Crispy, full of flavour, good size and aesthetic. Chips were average - could be crispier. Price was reflective of the location (tourist tax), normally a meal like this would be up to $30 at most fish and chip shops, this one was $40. I would come here again but it won't replace our go to. Awesome sitting on Pilot Bay grassy bank to chill out, watching the sunset while having a good feed.
This take out place by Salisbury wharf is not even the highest rated fish and chip in Tauranga but stopped by here and tried their battered fish NZ$8 under US$5. It was marvelous. Very fresh white fish in a thin batter and proper seasoning, it was OMG good. If one needs condiment like ketchup it's 50Β’ more. But don't need that at all. Also they sell lots of ice-cream since it's a warm day at the harbor.
Been in Indonesia for 5 years, finally came back to NZ with my partner and wanted to show him the Kiwi fish n chip dinner on the beach. W were recommended this place by a friend and they did not disappoint. The customer service was lovely and friendly, the fish and chips were cooked well and wrapped well and bloody delicious with a great view to match. My partner loved the Kiwi experience and we will definitely be back, as this time I was too full but I definitely want to have an ice cream too. Highly recommend!
Would not recommend. The maori girl working was so rude. We had only just got to the window to order and were told "you kinda need to hurry up because we are about to close" this was 5.43pm on Friday night, hours say closing 8.30pm. There is no need to be so rude even if they were closing. Will definitely not come back here again!
Good portion of chips at just $5 but the battered fish was too oily. I would recommend only chips.
Huge portion of fish and chips, very very greasy. Chips were good battered fish vas very crispy but damn way too much grease.
Disgusting, squid ring was so chewy it was inedible! Spring roll tasted like cardboard, also inedible! Overpriced . Seagulls got a free feed .
Fish and Chips price is a bit higher than the average. However, the price is well justified as fish is crunchy in the outside yet juicy in the inside. The chips compliments well with the fish at it is crunchy as well on the outside and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. It is served with tangy lemon wedges. It is worth a try for your go to comfort food. They also have creamy and sweet assortment of ice creams, a perfect dessert to enjoy while strolling under the sun-drenched sea shore.
