Food was awesome, and the service was great. We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff was super attentive, and the portions were huge.

It was a very great experience, we had come to celebrate my wife’s birthday, the food was awesome, ambience was very pleasant, and the service guys was fantastic, waiting to visit soon with my friends.
Dinner at Fife lane was a fun, unique and memorable. We started the night with a hand full of entrees and small plates. Starting with two seafood plates. Fresh Market Oysters with sauce was a chefs kiss - good portion, fresh and tasty. Hokkaido scallops were prepared very nicely and the pea / prosciutto really completed the plate. For the breads: The Burrata was comforting however slightly bland. The house made bread with the dip was delicious - with the dip definitely being the star of the show. For mains the Beef Wellington was meaty, umami and fun to eat with the knife I got to personally pick. The lamb was ok as the beetroot puree overwhelmed the meat making it very rich. Kūmara Gnocchi was good too - but nothing special. The drinks were a disappointment as the pineapple mocktail was sickeningly sweet so we had to mix in some sparkling water to balance it out. The other two mocktails were fine - but the flavour profile could definitely use some work.
Simply incredible! We've been to a few restaurants lately for anniversary, birthday, etc, where there'd been nothing special added. But not this time! All the staff knew my father-in-law was there for his birthday and was treated exceptionally well. To top it off, the food was incredible. Beautiful setting and very attentive staff. My mussels were fabulous but my daughter's octopus a bit chewy. Daughter loved the horseradish with her wagu. My beef Wellington had a bit much mustard. Great wine selection.
A top class dinner experience. It totally emptied our pockets, but we left contented with full bellies. The waiting staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and were good to recommend options for Coeliacs. The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection.
Amazing dating place from our own experience! It's perfectly located right next to the bus stop and New World in the Mount. Very spacious inside and love its design and decoration, especially the fireplace. Amazing vibe for dating or friends gathering. What's more amazing is the food, especially the beef wellington which blew my partner's mind, the snapper is also very decent. Reasonable price, I mean the food and its portion is definitely worth that price. And yes the service is also impeccable, they all wear a smile and are very friendly. Can't complain at all. We have been to almost all the high-class restaurants in Tauranga and the Mount, this one is probably so far our favourite.
If you like a classy place with good wine, this may be suited to you. The service is good but could have been a little more welcoming with more smiles. The steaks looked well cooked and the meat was pinkish with their borders cooked. Some were better and tastier than others. We were disappointed that the Wagyu was a little dry and tougher to chew than the others. However, the onion rings is a must try. For desert, the crust on top of the creme brulee was too thick and made it hard to bite into. Not a desert you would order again. Not the most value for money if you want to have a great steak meal.
