   Big thanks to Ramon, Johannes and Ferg from Smith & Sons for our wonderful kitchen renovation. Recommend them as friendly, flexible and onto it. They were hard working, tidy and open, showing us different options and progress as they went. They fitted the job to a tight deadline and worked around our family to get the job done before our new baby arrived. This included wrangling suppliers and the wider team, including Grant (Tiles and plastering), Josh (electrician) and Mike (plumber), who were also reliable and quick. Ramon was approachable when making a plan and was honest about options and our budget and had good ideas. We had a semi staged approach that worked for us.

   Ramon and the team replaced our roof including renewing the flu, gutters, upgrading insulation and repair/renew any rotten dam4aged woodwork. Communication from quoting to completion was excellent and the job was started and finished in the time frames promised. The boys on site were so respectful, tidy and good humored, it was a pleasure to have them on site. We are so happy with the finished job, the attention to detail and workmanship is fantastic. We would highly recommend Ramon, he is so easy to deal with and a genuine nice person. Thanks for a great job.

   We had a really great experience with our two builders Ferg and Johannes - they were a super organised knowlegeable pair who worked really well together. We had been involved with this team on a previous commercial building and because of that experience we felt there was no other choice to be made. They were courteous very tidy and a pleasure to have onsite. In fact they almost felt like part of the family. The alterations were not always easy but they had great problem solving skills and kept a good sense of humor at all times, Their building knowledge and skills were second to none and when they left the site after some 4-5 months our grounds were left as they were when Ferg and Johannes arrived. I hope that we never need any other building work completed as sadly for us they have now moved to Dunedin. We wish them well and to anyone down Dunedin way we can highly recommend the team at Smith and SOns Rennovations and Extensions.

   Smith and Sons have helped us again. Though with a new roof and retro-fitted windows our 100 year old house was starting to show mould on some bedroom walls. Knowing of Ramon’s experience working on old brick buildings in the UK and his expertise with moisture and leaks, we asked Ramon to take a look and give his opinion. Ramon and his team plus plumber (special shout out to Mike the plumber!), brickie, plasterer andTPM roofer combined forces to work around winter weather, study and exam breaks. We now have happy students in a warm dry house and no mould. All achieved with big smiles and great communication to both owners and tenants. Welcome South Ramon, Ferg and Johannes!

   Ramon and his hard working team of Ferg and Johannes from Smith and sons carried out an extensive roof remediation project on our large medical centre. Their craftsmanship was excellent, all detail was communicated clearly with use of photos and text messages and all questions were dealt with quickly and informatively. Their knowledge and skill around the use of flashings and minimising roof penetrations is outstanding. The team are enthusiastic, friendly and so helpful with the requirements of our tenants. There were significant weather events during the period this work was carried out but the team managed their way through this with ease and any problems arising were solved quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend Ramon and his team and look forward to working with them again in the very near future.
