   Jul 2023- carpark under construction, the temporary carpark has limited spots. This place is nice but the spot goes uphill and downhill. The way back up to the carpark is 15-20min continuous 30deg uphill. Not recommended for people with mobility issues and wheelchairs. Because of the proximity to the town centre, this place can get crowded and some inconsiderate people throwing away tissues everywhere.

   Stunning views. Not an easy hike. Honestly, the way down is more treacherous on a muddy day but the way up gives you an insane calf workout. For two chubby people on a cool day, it took us about an hour and a half. We didn’t scramble over the rocks on the beach but could have easily spent more time. You’ll be cursing the whole way up if you’re in bad shape, but the views are worth it. They’re in the process of adding in restrooms and more parking but as of early July 23, no bathrooms and limited parking.

   A beautiful walk on a cold winter day. The walk is not long but it is steep. Allow plenty of time to rest and enjoy the view as you walk back up. Please note: This is NOT a swimming beach. There is a strong undertow, rough stone beach, and heavy surf in good weather. The track is narrow in places and the cliff edge is just beyond the fence so this is not the place to bring your dog. It is a beautiful scenic walk with good photo opportunities. There is currently limited parking at the top of the hill. Toilet facilities are currently being constructed (May 2023) at the top of the hill. Requirements: Good walking shoes A wind-breaker style jacket A bottle of water Your camera (or phone with a decent camera built in)

   A beautiful hidden gem! Gravel trail which leads to a beautiful and surreal view of the beach! Best to wear takkies, carry a jacket and a bottle of water as the trail is long, gets windy and is quite a workout.. but absolutely worth every step!
