I find the store rules here really difficult. Only taking 3 items into the changing room even when all the changing rooms are vacant, there is no reasonable reason for this and it is a huge inconvenience. Additionally being asking to leave a tiny bag which has only enough room for my valuables (wallet and phone) with someone I don’t know is annoying. It’s too strict and makes the environment really tense, loosen up please.

Best selection in town. Always a bargain to find, however... Too expensive. I know you have overheads but you'd have better turnover if your prices were more realistic. I just wish there was one of these in every city. We NEED to make fashion more sustainable. K

Forgot what it felt like to be treated like a second rate citizen for doing some thrift shopping. Won't be going back anytime soon, terrible customer service.

Pros and cons to this store. It has a large variety of clothes which is great. It’s organized well enough and you will most likely find what you’re after. However I’ve noticed the price of the clothes are only going up. And the pricing isn’t consistent. Jeans of equal wear from the warehouse, Max, Calvin Klein, just jeans etc are all around the same price mark (about $16 to $30?). Which could be a pro or con depending on what you’re trying to buy. A jacket covered in stains was marked for about $26, it was from a decent brand but the price seemed a bit much for the condition. I noticed some tops were marked as similar prices that you’d find in the original stores as well, such as a Glassons top that was about $20. There’s a designer section but it doesn’t hold all the designer stock, I’m not sure if this is intentional or if the staff are not familiar with all the brands, either way I think it’s more enjoyable to stumble across designer clothes yourself, however I can see the practicality to it. If you’re looking for women’s clothing this is a great location, but there’s not a great range for men’s clothing. Overall I do enjoy coming here , my main critique would be the inconsistent pricing. I wouldn’t come here anymore hoping for a cheap deal. I understand thrifting has become trendy in recent years so I’m sure there’s demand pressures, but it doesn’t sit right seeing the price on some of these second hand clothes. I may be wrong but I believe most of their stock is donated isn’t it? Why’s the price so high? Other “thrift” stores will give you a much better price, for example a lot of other locations have the bulk of their inventory under $10 and it’d be rare to see them go much above $20 on good quality items. while I noticed a lot of the clothing here starts from $7 and goes up from there (averaging between $10-$30). At the end of the day you’re getting discounted clothing, the gap between the original price and savemart price is just getting smaller. They do have a superior range in Dunedin for women’s clothing and you’re pretty guaranteed to find something you like, it just depends on if you can justify the price.

Prepare to spend an hour sifting through the racks, massive space, loads of stock

I don’t understand why they are not excepting cash! So annoying. And the prices?? So high for SaveMart. Don’t recommend at all ! Two stars only for the man that was at the checkout. He was nice

Good selection. Lots of small sizes and onesies. Colour sorted and clean.
