Recently took my 7yr old to play 9 holes off the purple kids tees, very friendly welcome for the young fella, beautiful course and superb beers on tap afterwards!
Otago Golf Club is the oldest golf course in the southern hemisphere and one of the most interesting course layouts I’ve played, it’s great fun. The two working in the pro shop were top lads, a great day out was had.
Played as a solo walk in on a foggy and rainy day. Mike in the proshop was very accommodating. Very hilly and wet, I’ll have to come back another time on a nicer day some time
Excellent track - interesting, hilly layout in great condition. Oldest course in the southern hemisphere that just celebrated it's 150th anniversary. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended.
Very nice and traditional Golf Course. An extraordinary nice Lady in the Pro shop gave me some introduction and we had a lovely chat. I found the course itself is well integrated to the terrain and has some very nice holes. It's varied and has beautiful old trees. A small downside is the street in the middle of the course, probably owed to the age of the course as the city grew around it.
