Dr Miller Cootes is an excellent and patient doctor, for the first time in my life I actually feel listened to and like I'm getting the care a doctor would be expected to provide. Dr Goudy is amazing with our kids and somehow gets them cooperating every time. The nurse practitioner is so warm and gentle when giving immunization too that its an easy and quick process when we bring our children in with great advice for aftercare. Gina on reception is so lovely and helpful, she's straight to the point when I have a question and has excellent manners so I always know what to expect when I come in. Thank you for looking after our whanau

Provide excellent efficient service. Managed to fit in urgent an appointment and give great advice. Finally someone who listens and understands. Thank you to Dr Goudie and receptionist Gina.

The doctors at this practice are excellent. This practice does however have an extremely rude and blunt receptionist by the name of Gina, while I completely agree with what she was saying she would be best to change her deliverance of her message. I sick of dealing with her extreme rude and blunt responses, the last 20 years that I have been with this practice, I have never dealt with someone that isn't patient focus or lacks the ability to have empathy in her. Noticed the second time I called her mannerism had changed, after I had said something to her. Also listening to the voice recording when phoning the practice, i hear it says there will be no GP reminders for upcoming appointments for patients...what about your cognitive impaired patients that haven't had rehab to learn strategies to prompt/reminder themselves for upcoming appointments. wheres the Patient Focus gone. Thanks Gina....you've pushed me down the path to start thinking about going to another GP practice

Signed my family up with Forbury as soon as they opened shop and had a good experience until this year. The service has taken a massive hit: The receptionist tries to speed-run every phone conversation to the point where if you had two reasons to call, you'll need to ring twice because she hangs up as soon as the first one is done. Additionally you now can't get a face-to-face appointment apparently unless it's a follow-up to a phone appointment, which is pointless if you need a doctor to actually look at something... (and no, they don't do video calls). I hope whoever is in charge rethinks the current approach, because finding another decent clinic to go to is tough, but I don't really want to bother with this one anymore.

The doctors at this practice are not the problem. This practice does however have an extremely problematic receptionist by the name of Gina. I asked for a record of our phone conversation to prove what had happened on the phone. Effectively, she was losing her patients with my questions and said she was just going to tell the doctor I declined his advice to get a second blood test done when I had absolutely agreed in the first place. When I questioned why she said that, she just cycled the sentence β€œsorry if you misunderstood what I said” which made me lose my patients with her. I definitely know what I heard and Gina continued to lie. Gina also put my partner in a similar situation where she would claim one thing that would lead to my partner needing to speak with someone else and the other staff member would get clarification from Gina and they would tell my partner that she had said another thing, effectively changing the narrative to avoid looking bad. Considering others have the same problem with Gina, maybe some proper staff training is due.

Having just moved from Northland to Dunedin and hearing about the pressure GPs are under and the difficulty getting a GP I have been so impressed. The enrolment process was so easy and the reception staff were delightful. GPs listened to me and were informative and knowledgeable. As a health care professional I can be hard to please as know the standard but this experience has been superb

What more could you ask from a GP practice? The receptionists are lovely, friendly and helpful. The doctors are professional, accommodating and honest. The surgery is sparkling clean and well laid out. 5 stars where 5 stars is due...

Been going to see Dr Millar-Coote and various other doctors over the past 14 years and the team is absolutely fantastic. They're extremely accommodating, very easy to talk to and all round wonderful care from the doctors and nurses here. I'd like to give a shout-out to the reception staff as well (as I use NZRelay to call them) and they're always so patient and helpful. Super wonderful medical centre, you won't be disappointed.
